We arrived in Hamburg late night without reservations, only to everything was booked! The Nord Hotel kept us from sleeping in the train station. Our room was clean, quiet & cheap. There is no elevator and the bathroom is down the hall. The common bath and shower rooms were spotless! No breakfast was offered. In a pinch we'd stay there... More

This hotel is in the centre so you can not sleep very well where all the young stars and drunk people hanging around 24 HRS. The hotel staff has to ask every time that you are the guest of this hotel or not. they do not like if some visitors come to the hotel the just got anger when the... More

Worst rathole ever. Staff is useless. 30€ deposit money is weird. i´d categorise them as scammers anyway. Location is pretty good. It has a roof so if it´s raining i might go there if outside was the other choice.

I have stayed in this small bed and breakfast hotel three times now. Not expensive, but always clean. Desk open 24 hours .staff very friendly and helpful. Were very kind when I stayed there in February after coming out of hospital after an operation.

Its okay if you are a lone traveller and closer to main city center. But for family not recomended as though the hotel had a kitchen it was not accessible to guests. There was a mad lady loitering around outside the main door. If you have a choice then avoid this place. Rooms are cramped and staff donot inform about... More

Very friendly and welcoming staff, always willing to help. The area is central but may be surprising at night and early am. We had no problems, except you need to be vigilant when walking on the sidewalk, lots of dogs going walkies. You have to book breakfast 24 hours in advance but there are plenty of alternatives that have great... More

Cold rooms, bad heating (we both got sick), uneven floors, hookers outside, 20x70cm ventilation "hole" into the shared 1st floor shower viewable from the staircase = no privacy in shower. Garbage "corner" from bar(?) outside preventing ventilation through open window. Random room cleaning (they cleaned 1/3 of our nights stayed), stains on both mattresses, and 5-10cm gap between them. Heavy... More

Only making a booking with Hotel Nord if you have time to spend trying to find somewhere else to stay after you arrive in Hamburg! I booked a month ahead using one of the big online booking services, and then phoned and e-mailed (in English and German) a couple of weeks ahead to confirm a booking for two beds and... More
