As others have said nice, clean minimal hotel with good breakfast. It is on the bad location for tourists with not much in the local area. Local area is a mixed residential and business, including manufacturing, restaurants were fast food and bars a few neighborhood type places but plan to eat elsewhere. There are some near by grocery stores if... more

Not luxurious, but excellent for the money. I paid EUR 60, but I understand rates can be as low as EUR 45 per night. Clean rooms, nice decor, a decent breakfast, and friendly staff. The hotel is aimed primarily at the business traveller. Located in a quiet part of town, nearest S Bahn station is a 15 min walk away,... more

Hotel is minimalistic but effective. For example, in place of a wardrobe there is a hanging rail on the wall and to save space the wash basin is in the room, not the bathroom. Although the room is very basic it is very clean and modern. It is very pleasant sitting in the bar area at the end of the... more

great Design, great rooms, booked a single room whereas bed was still a double one, very clean, nice small garden with places to sit, quite central (close to Osterstrasse) There were a lot of young guests and also business men which created a nice atmposphere. I would fully recommend this hotel! more

Really cool place (on the budget off course). Those in urgent need of internet can check their mails only in the lobby and no phones in the rooms either but this place looks and feels that is not meant for business but for backpackers and groups on the younger side. Design minimalistic and surprisingly effective in space-management, colours lively and... more

I've just returned from a 4-day trip to Hamburg. We originally chose Motel One due to the price, and all the other positive reviews we had read. Here was my experience: 1. It took over 1 hour to get there from the airport. We took a bus from the airport, and then had to switch buses to get to the... more

Modern, minimalist hotel. Very warm and friendly greeting, English speaking. Rooms have everything you need. Breakfast ws a little bit of a bun fight, but decent cold buffet. 10mn walk to S bahn station for easy access to city centre. good value for money. more

Very good interior desing however there is no telephones on the rooms and the from desk person refused to pass phone calls to the clients despite that we insisted. At list you should not limit the internet to public areas since the privacy is impotant for some costumers. Be prepared to pay between 2 and 3 euros for a minute... more

Once again, a brand new review from my latest travel experiences. Returned yesterday from Hamburg, stayed at the Motel-One-Hamburg-Altona. The hotel is called "Motel", but is easy to reach by public transport. From the airport by bus to Ohlsdorf train station, further to Altona station and than by bus to Armbrust-Straße, directly in front of the property, journey time around... more

Motel One on Kieler Strasse is highly recommended if you want to stay in Hamburg. The place has an air of class about it. Everything is new and clean. The rooms are very comfortable. The hotel is spacious. The lobby area, where the reception is situated is quite large and has been stylishly laid out so that it also acts... more
