Only positive was the location. Extremely close to Brewdog. Rooms were dated and had an awful smell. No toilet roll! One bed was completely broken as per the picture. Whilst it is cheap I would avoid if you are wanting any sort of sleep. Never again

Location fine. Price fine. That's about it. Rooms very dated and smelly. Hosts nice. Bed very comfortable. One of our party had an awful bed though. It was literally broke. Shower was awful. No hot water at times.

I was in Hamburg, Germany to attend a 5-day course and spend time in the city and did not want to spend a huge some on a hotel. I arranged for the Hotel Lafayette after reading TripAdvisor reviews, although they were old. I really lucked out with this location! Around the corner from t he Reeperbahn Red Light District, but far enough away from the noise and the rift raft. The hotel is situated right in between the subway and a supermarket, which was very convenient. I was pretty much within walking distance or a few subway stops from everything. I will stay here again because it was clean, safe and well within my budget. The free Wi-Fi wasn't all that bad either!

I needed a place to stay in Hamburg for 3 days before and 1 day after Wacken Open Air. The rest of my party had already decided to stay in St Pauli so I followed suit. All I needed was a place with enough space to prepare my things and to rest after the festival before continuing my trip. I got way more than that. The room was big enough and the bathroom big and comfortable. WiFi reception was great both at the room and at the breakfast area (I had read on previous reviews that it was bad, but it wasn't the case for me. They fixed it I guess) Breakfast is charged extra but worth it. Access to the rooms is via stairs or lift. The location is great, just around the corner from the intersection between Große Freiheit and Reeperbahn, which also means it can get quite loud at night. Only on Saturday night I kept hearing music until late at night. The other nights it was fine. The staff is friendly and gave me a few suggestions of things to see in Hamburg. All in all a nice experience.

Disappointed by the description. Fine hotel for sleeping. Okay quiet and very nice staff. When we arrived there was only prepared for one instead of two persons. No hotel can make soft boiled eggs, Damn!

This hotel is a few feet away from the Reperbahn and its bars, clubs and sites. The staff were helpful and friendly and the rooms clean. Only minus point was a poor Wi-Fi reception, otherwise I highly recommend this hotel.

Very dated and uncomfortable. Only one roll of toilet paper for 3 lads. Needs a facelift but you could probably say that about the whole of the Reeperbahn. Needs to reduce their prices in my honest opinion

We were for 3 nights in Hamburg and we wanted to be as close as possible to Reeperbahn. We didn't want to spend a lot for the accommodation. That was the reason for choosing this hotel. A disappointment from the beginning to the end. No words to describe the rooms. Bad smell, not very clean, no comfortable sleep. The only positive I can find to say about it , is the price but certainly not so cheap for what you get. And what you get is a big disappointment. I wouldn't stay there again for any price.

Breakfast was cancelled due to leaking sewage pipes in breakfast room, rooms are small and smell of disinfectant, bathrooms are tiny. WiFi barely worked, very slow, could only log in with one device. Lots of noise from the street, beds are too soft and covered in plastic sheets, pillow way to slim. No possibilities to get a beer at the bar. The positives are the 3 parking spots at the back, 50m from U-bahn and the hospital is right across the street.
