The hotel is stunning and very centrally located by the Reeperbahn. We ha a nice superiour room. But it lacked air conditioning. The Restaurant is simply the best there is in northern Germany! more

Very nice hotel, great restaurant and happening bar. Free-standing bath in the room, informal breakfast. Location not good unless you are spending a lot of time on the Reeperbahn! more

I'm in Hamburg a week a month and was really hoping to make Hotel East my regular home. However after 6 nights here I'm sad to say i can't recommend it nor will I return. The service here is amazing, there are some lovely amenities and it's nice to have a scene so close however the basics of what makes... more

As a Canadian world traveller I have found the East Hotel to be the best quality and most warming hotel I have ever stayed in. From the imaginative and well designed rooms, to the unique and fabulous meals, the tantalizing variety of lounges and of course the most prompt and friendly staff I have ever met in my life, this... more

This hotel is a very well done example of trendy, hip boutique style done fantastically well. It is also something of an oasis is a rather gross area. The Metro is close by, but heading down that back street at night can be a little creepy. Once inside you feel like you are at New Year's Eve somewhere really happening... more

I was staying at the East for a long weekend. The best part of the hotel are the amenities (restaurant, buffer breakfast, lounge, room service), but I find that the rooms themselves were not totally worth the money. Dining at the East restaurant is definitely very good - I was very happy with the atmosphere, food and friendly service (all... more

I stayed at the East for three nights in early July 2008. As it was a business trip, the hotel had been booked by my corporate travel agent, at a rate of €153.00 per night for room & continental breakfast in a medium room. Check-in was prompt and efficient - the receptionist explained all I needed to know and gave... more

Stayed with a friend for a great party night at the EAST in Hamburg. The purpose of having a great time, rocking a night away either with your partner or a good friend is perfect for this hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean, and modern and cool with all the facilities you would need. One minus could be the fact... more

After an extensive review we decided to book East because it seemed like the closest decent hotel to the Reeperbahn, and because it said it had a 24 hour bar. Well, scratch the 24 hour bar because that's clearly untrue. Perhaps they feel that having an 18 hour bar counts the same, but coming from NYC 24 hours to us... more

Stayed here for one night whilst in Hamburg to see the Chritmas markets. Our room was in the "large" category and on the first floor in the main building. Initially we had been given a room in the annex wing, but it was noisy and faced the road and did not have a bath so we requested to be moved.... more
