There is a wonderful 9th floor restaurant and bar serviced by an exterior glass elevator and a beautifully lit bar on the ground floor serving an extremely wide range of drinks and open till well after 1 am. My favourite location in Hamburg is around the Alster: nice view on the waterside while close to where the city center. The Royal Le Meridien is located right there and has some spectacular waterside views. The hotel and the rooms are modern and stylish. This hotel has a great bar and breakfast area with nice views on sailboats and the lake. The breakfast itself is pretty good. I found the room a bit too cold design wise. But it scored high on all other points! Recomment.

The hotel is in an absolutely stunning location.
Rooms and breakfast outstanding with great views over the lake.
We liked the nice coloured bathtub in the middle of the bathroom.
Hotel guests get as well a voucher for a free coffee from Illy.
Pool and Spa area are very well decorated.

Your room has an iPhone dock! Very cool feature. The shower is amazing, the bathroom is beautiful. It's very stylish, but you can still order curry sausage from the room service (Do it!) The location of the hotel is great, right next to the beautiful lake.

Great fiendly place, with very good service. Staff is very helpfull. Breakfast and gym are great. The bar on thye 9th floor is serving "molecullar" cocktails, which are very good and indeed special. Rooms are very clean (as the rest of the hotel) and nicely decorated.
