We stayed in Hotel Hamburg Hafen during the first week of May in a double room in the old part of the building. The hotel is conveniently located near to Landungsbrücken and it is possible to walk to St Pauli or the next train station within 5-10 minutes. Our room had windows towards the harbour and therefore a great view.... More

Two points: - Good location (5 minutes to Reeperbahn/Red Light, 1 minute to harbour and 15 mins to city center) - Good price (price is fair and valuable compared to other hotels) I stayed in the old building. Rooms are small with magnificent harbour view. Check out the toilet, you'll find a sexy plastic duck. Check out the walls, a... More

We had 2 nights in the old part of the hotel, commander class rooms. The rooms were very modern with a very big shower in the bathroom. The location of the Rooms were on the lower level and relatively noisy at night due to the lack of air and the open windows. Wifi was just marginal in the public areas.... More

I stayed here a week-end with a group of friends. We had booked the captains class and were satisfied with our rooms even if the standard was rather basic. The meals were fine and the service at the restaurant was good but otherwise the service was not good enough. The main building was old and gave the feeling of a... More

What a disappointment. The hotel is old and past its prime. Rooms are small. No bathtub, just a tiny round shower stall. No iron and ironing board. Internet is slow as molasses. Restaurant is old style - food wasn't really worth the money. I was limping due to a sports injury and on arrival was asked to use an elevator... More

Tiny rooms, but location was good. The restaurant were very helpful when I missed breakfast and asked for a slice of bread. My room, in the old part of the hotel smelled like smoke, but the new rooms were great.

This is without doubt one of worst hotels I have stayed in for many years. After being ping ponged from one reception desk in 1 building to a 2nd reception desk in another building and then sent from that second reception to rooms situated in the Tower Bar Tower block ( the 3rd buiding!) I opened a door to a... More

The hotel is located about a mile from anything interesting. The room I was in faced the back of the hotel and with the window slightly open it is noisy. The room was small and also the bathroom although it was clean. Also there are still smoking rooms which have a musky smell. Breakfast was mainly continental but very average.... More

I stayed at the Hafen whilst on a business trip to Hamburg. The staff were very friendly and The room great with excellent shower and very clean. The tower bar is a must visit with great views looking over the river and the snug bar next to reception was a great place to unwind after a days work. Breakfast was... More
