We stayed here first time together with friends. The Hotel is very nicely located, Close to the Portuguese quarter with loads of nice Restaurants. The rooms are big, nice bathrooms, good beds. As far as I remember, the front-rooms with view to the Harbour are more expensive (but worthwhile to catch one of them !!). Parking in the area was... More

We booked the hotel for a one-night getaway. The hotel has an modern and a "traditional" part. We got a room in the modern part, although I had booked for the traditional building; but we were upgraded to a harbor view room. Prices were reasonable, but there are a lot of extras, including the parking and breakfast, which are a... More

My girlfriend and I just spend two days in Hamburg. Temperatures outside were around 28 degree celsius - and inside in our room it was at least 30 untill about 2-3 o'clock in the night. There were no aircon, so the only ways to cool the room was to open the window - but outside the u-bahn and heavy trafic... More

We stayed in Hotel Hamburg Hafen during the first week of May in a double room in the old part of the building. The hotel is conveniently located near to Landungsbrücken and it is possible to walk to St Pauli or the next train station within 5-10 minutes. Our room had windows towards the harbour and therefore a great view.... More

Two points: - Good location (5 minutes to Reeperbahn/Red Light, 1 minute to harbour and 15 mins to city center) - Good price (price is fair and valuable compared to other hotels) I stayed in the old building. Rooms are small with magnificent harbour view. Check out the toilet, you'll find a sexy plastic duck. Check out the walls, a... More

We had 2 nights in the old part of the hotel, commander class rooms. The rooms were very modern with a very big shower in the bathroom. The location of the Rooms were on the lower level and relatively noisy at night due to the lack of air and the open windows. Wifi was just marginal in the public areas.... More

I stayed here a week-end with a group of friends. We had booked the captains class and were satisfied with our rooms even if the standard was rather basic. The meals were fine and the service at the restaurant was good but otherwise the service was not good enough. The main building was old and gave the feeling of a... More

What a disappointment. The hotel is old and past its prime. Rooms are small. No bathtub, just a tiny round shower stall. No iron and ironing board. Internet is slow as molasses. Restaurant is old style - food wasn't really worth the money. I was limping due to a sports injury and on arrival was asked to use an elevator... More

Tiny rooms, but location was good. The restaurant were very helpful when I missed breakfast and asked for a slice of bread. My room, in the old part of the hotel smelled like smoke, but the new rooms were great.
