Spent one night in this wonderful hotel. Everything was new, clean and functional and our room and bathroom were really gorgeous and very modern. Breakfast was awesome, one of the best I have ever had in a hotel. more

I stayed here with my boyfriend for a long weekend and would definately reccommened it. The check-in was seamless, the staff were friendly and helpful (and speak perfect English) and even checked us in before the allocated time of 3pm. The rooms are immaculate, bright and clean. Hotel is not far from the railway station, on a busy road but rooms are soundproof and very comfortable. Not far from the hotel is s-bahn station Hamerbrook, whis is only one stop from the main railway station - Hauptbahnhof. Hamburg is a beautiful city, I used to live there for two years. We stayed in the Mercure Hotel Hamburg City for 4 days in December 2006 and were totally happy with our choice. We had booked it a while before via internet on the website of the hotel chain for 60Eur per night (cancellation not refundable). The hotel is located at the big street Amsinckstrasse. I regularly stay at this hotel and the current refurbishment has done wonders to an already great value modern hotel. The rooms are immaculate and have all the necessary amenities, particularly for business travellers. Don't expect bath robes or fancy little soaps; they provide a large bottle of liquid/shower/hair soap which is actually quite nice. The beds are quite firm... more

We just spent five wonderful days at the Novotel in Hamburg.Despite the ongoing construction work which was taking place at the hotel, the staff made our stay very comfortable. The food was first class and very reasonable priced. The staff were very friendly and eager to help. We found the distance to the town centre just a ten minute walk.... more
