Stayed in the Helgoland for 5 days, I was generally disappointed, for the price paid EUR 102/Night this hotel was generally lacking on everything but staff courtesy, WiFi is free which is great but unfortunately rarely worked outside of the lobby, Rooms are tiny and the hotel is generally dark and depressing. It was rather hot during our stay and... More

I wasn't really expecting a lot, and I guess you get what you pay for. It is an old hotel in desperate need of modernising. I had a single room with the smallest bed I have ever seen in a hotel. It wasn't even a proper bed, or just a bunk attached to the wall. The room was so so... More

The hotel is outdated and definitely needs some renovations. The rooms are small and the smell is almost unbearable. We have been there during hot weather season with no air conditioning in the room. Leaving the window open however is also very noisy. We did not feel very comfortable and the connection the city center is also not very good.... More

its located in an area not touristy, must be better if you have a car. Small rooms, mine i guess in the past was a smoking roomed, smelled constantly of it. Bathroom is basic, shower has a decent pressure. Everything seemed to be from the 70s.. Not very modern but still operational. They have a shoe shine machine from the... More

We stayed 3 nights in the Helgoland and no complaints as such but cant really think of a lot to go delirious about either, rooms are ok, clean, basic etc staff were pleasant but we didnt really have anything to test them on, as it was up and out each morning, bit pricy when we stayed ,but there was a huge... Stayed at this hotel during a world cup visit to Hamburg. The price was very good considering what was going on in the city. Most hotels had doubled there prices but this hotel kept it the same. It was a nice hotel, very clean and plain. Nothing to fancy about it, just a good place to stay and sleep. Would... More
