The hotel location is excellent, probably the best feature. The front desk staff is very helpfull and polite. The rooms are absolutely tiny. Ok i had a single room, but it was literally the size of a broomcupboard. The window faced a back wall, and the furniture was minimal. The bed is the smallest i have slept in since childhood,... I sometimes travel to southern Denmark on business and always fly into Hamburg. I decided to add an extra day to my trip to see the city a bit and wanted an inexpensive hotel room near the center of the city. I found a deal for a single room here for $42USD that included breakfast. Based on reviews, it was... More

Stayed for 4 nights & NEVER again. The stairs r a problem, they r like going up/down a very narrow lighthouse. If you r quite unfit/ have a heart defect/ or use inhalers(I use 1 and needed it regularly) then this is not the place for you!! Our shower ceiling leaked from the shower above (they did sort this in... More

Stayed here for one night in February. I wanted something close to the Hamburg Hauptbahnhof, and the Hotel Aachener Hof was a short walk away. The intersecting streets where it is located is very charming. Staff was quite nice. There is no elevator, but no big deal. It is only four stories high. I had a nice, quiet room on... More

Certainly value for money. I had a fine breakfast and the hotel is located in central Hamburg. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Parking is a bit problematic. No elevator and steep steps to 4th floor...

Aachener Hof was my home for a few days in Hamburg. The hotel's located a five minutes walk from the main railway station, which was quite convenient. In the area there are quite a lot of hotels, and also a couple of restaurants. Checking in and out was straightforward, and luggage storage is available when needed. The staff did what... More

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. It's pretty easy to find only a few minutes' walk from the central train station (Hauptbahnhof) and located close to a square with plenty of restaurants (Italian, Spanish, Asian) and a cute bubble tea cafe! Check in was pretty uneventful. However, a few hours later, the receptionist, without knocking, unlocked and entered... More

No-frills well-managed inner-city hotel. Best: Location - walking distance to Hamburg's main railway station and the chic Binnenalster shopping district. Worst: Rooms are spread over 5 floors, but there is no elevator, and the winding staircase is pretty narrow. If you can live with that, it is a good choice, otherwise you have a climbing problem.
