This hotel has good value for the price. If you're looking for a good place to stay without particular frills, this is a good choice. The service is good and courteous, the rooms clean. If you're looking for Old World Charm, this is not your hotel.

The hotel is nothing special. The atmosphere in The hotel is a little bit sad . Rooms are nice. Internet is terrible, If you are here for work, no way! At the Same price you can find something nicer! I was asking help for internet, The poor receptionist didn't know how to help me and The owner passed by, with... More

It is a very nice hotel. Good service, nicely decorated. Not far from town, close to the airport. Nice hotel for business trip as well. Their breakfast is very good. The staff is very helpful. There are some nice restaurants at walking distance.

The hotel is located in a lovely neighbourhood, very close to the lake (5 minutes walking distance) and with very beautiful and typical Hamburg houses. The rooms have a tatami part with very comfortable futon beds in which I slept like a baby. The rooms are extremely clean and well maintained, very comfortable, simple and functional. The hotel reception is... More

We've stayed at this hotel twice now. It's Japanese themed and the rooms are minimalist but clean and comfortable. The beds are futon style so quite low and the mattresses are firm (but comfortable). There is matting on the floor and the hotel provide slippers so that you don't wear outdoor shoes in the bedroom part of your room. Instead... More

I had the pleasure of staying at this Japanese style hotel during a business trip. Having been to Japan previously I loved the rice mat flooring and the entire Japanese decoration. The hotels own Japanese restaurant has served me with the best Asian food outside Japan. If you like Japanese traditions this is a must stay location during any visit... More

I loved this hotel! Having stayed in numerous anonymous 4 and 5 star hotels, this was a little quirky but enjoyable, sparkling clean, super breakfast and the staff are very nice and helpful. I slept like a baby on the futon mattress and love the tatami matting in the rooms. There is no CNN or BBC to disrupt, so I... More

While it's undoubtedly best (only) Japanese themed hotel in Hamburg, it is little more than a marketing gimmick to stand out from the crowd. The lobby looks like any other low budget hotel save for the japanesque decorations. The rooms are smallish and very sparsely decorated and equipped. The theme serves as a handy excuse to give an "uncluttered" view.... More

The place is fine, but nothing really great about it. The rooms are small and noisy, when u have a room facing the street. Tea and coffee are free. You could rent a bike (is free) to get around the city. The Japanese restaurant is great, shabu shabu is a dream (they cook the soup for it, no instant soup... More
