Stayed in the Atlantic Kempinski just one night on business. At first, I was a bit put off by the busy and old-fashioned lobby, though check-in was fast, efficient, and the staff helpful. But the rooms turned out to be really nice. Spacious and tasteful, with modern furniture that matches well with the historic building. The location of the hotel... More

Everything was perfect and as it should be for a 5* hotel. The evening dinner was also superb, the pianist, the ambiance and the service. There is nothing more to say, it was great stay, next time longer.

This was a hotel that cruise passengers would use for a stayover to see Hamburg or as a jumping off point to see Germany or other parts of Europe. The hotel is centrally located about 2 blocks (walking distance with a roller suitcase) from the Bahnhof (Train Depot) which will either bring you into Hamburg from the airport or will... More

A bad start to our stay when our room wasn't available for check in when we arrived at 4pm. Waiting around in the lobby with a toddler after a flight wasn't much fun. However, when we finally got to our suite we weren't disappointed. The rooms are beautifully decorated with stunning views of the Alster. The staff cannot do enough... More

Traditional hotel in the centre of Hamburg. Large rooms with comfortable beds. The staff is friendly, but you need to calculate a bit of time for the check-out. Overall a very pleasant stay in a hotel with a lot of flair.

You get what you book at the Atlantic. The Atlantic has the benefits and drawbacks of a 100-year old hotel. The drawbacks do not come at a discount. Pluses: Rooms are spacious and of good up to date quality; smoking lounge and central terrace surrounded by the hotel are attractive; bar and lounge area lack "oompf" and seems a slightly... More

I've stayed in a few different hotels in Hamburg and this quite honestly is the best. It's absolutely beautiful, the decor is gloriously grand with staff and rooms to match. My room (641) was spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable. I loved the furniture (nothing bland or basic in here) especially the addition of a nespresso machine!). I also really liked... More

Super friendly people working at this amazing classic hotel! Breakfast with a beautiful view of the lake Alster, and I loved the top service and even the elegant uniforms of the breakfast staff. Room was spacious, and even the bathroom bigger than rooms in other hotels. Tip for the bar: try the hotels special Gin Sul, a refreshing gin tonic... More
