Lovely to stay here. Every thing is above expectations. Rooms are large, clean and like in old days of Germany, similar to castle rooms. But well maintained. Reception is beautiful, staff well trained , courteous and very helpful. They do speak good engliosh. They go to the extent of arranging tickets for the entry to several events and museum etc., The... more

You access a piece of the city, old school decoration with a romantic touch. Really close to everything, a good place to start and discover the city in a short time. Really clean and nice staff. Recommend this hotel to every kind of travelers!!! more

We stayed in this hotel for three nights, and it is definitely very centrally located. We also stayed here 9 years ago, and must say that the hotel now looks a little worn, and the rooms are in need for refurbishment. I think that some of the rooms are redecorated, but not the one we had. The room was pretty... more

I spent only one night in this hotel so that I can't give very precise advice on it. Nevertheless I have noticed the following items : - This hotel is very huge - There is a huge swimming pool - My room was very small and badly soundproffed - Staff was nice. more

Stayed here for a week on a business trip to Hamburg. Good central location, underground and rail station right on the door step. Food was excellent, as was the service. I found the room to be of average size, very clean though. Bed was comfortable. Very clean bathroom. No room safe which I was a little surprised at. All public... more

This is another of those hotels that try to pass off as 'grande dame' properties when they really should give the building a complete overhaul. It's all blabla - the impressive lobby with loads of heavy carpets, brass and chandeliers. And when you enter your room it's all completely and utterly disappointing. The sole redeeming future was the bathtub but... more

Stayed here on a businss trip last week. Our hotel room was dirty and the front desk staff was profoundly rude. Most of the items on the breakfast buffet were stale. After staying in many hotels in Germany, this was definatley the worst. more

Stayed for a weekend to see the xmas markets in Hamburg. We walked into the foyer and was absolutely gobsmacked. In front of us was this 12ft wide and 30ft high xmas tree all beautifully decorated. A real good start. Check in was quick, you could upgrade your room for about 10 euros. The bedrooms were small and compact but... more

Thoroughly enjoyed stay. Good location near to the main railway station. Breakfast served from 6am - nice if you want to make an early start. Checked in early which was no problem. Checked out late which again was no problem. Staff always helpful and friendly. Hotel had small pool and a couple of exercise bikes. Sauna and Steam room nice... more
