This was "above average" because of the location/scenery. It is a castle location with a great deal of history. Everything was clean and comfortable, staff was helpful and spoke English, food was great....overnight oatmeal is a must! By American standards, this would not be considered "luxury". However, the price is less than what a 4 star US property would be.... more

I believe we were one of the only parties in the hotel during our visit. I found the reception staff very accommodating and pleasant. The restaurant was outstanding--very personal service and superb cuisine. We were travelling with two small kids, and the staff bent over backwards to accommodate their needs (ours as well). 5 star all the way. Sounds picky... more
