This little and primitive looking hostel was all over the place. The prices are way too high for the room and bed you get. We stayed in a dusty and dirty room, very very cold. The shower was weird, couldn't use it. The worst part was the noises; I couldn't sleep because the common room was right next to our... More

We stayed here for one night in june and thankfully not longer. When we wanted to check in at 6pm nobody was there and we had to wait 40 min outside until a very grumpy man checked us in after charging us for linen and city tax (as we were tourists)! So in the end it wasn't as cheap as... More

This hostel is in an excellent and central location - 5/10 minutes walk to the city centre or alternatively there are lots of trams within walking distance if you want to go further afield. There is also a street of restaurants 1 minute from the hostel if you are in need of food. The shower was lovely and warm. However... More

The staff was nice and polite, the room was clean and the hostel it self is in a usefull location BUT the walls are like paper (means that you can listen literally everything) and the beds, sheets and pillows are really bad and old (specially the pillows, I had a neck ache the whole next day). They need an urgent... More

Really isn't much to say, except it's cheap and seemed like a safe place to stay in a good central location in Bremen. It's only 10 mins walk from the city centre. Shower was inconsistent with temperature (turned ice cold after being boiling hot) and you had to hold the shower in your hand (tricky). Can't really expect luxury for... More

Given the prices, I think this hostel is okay. There's a nice lounge with TV, couches, free wi-fi, board games, a hot drinks vending machine and some useful travel brochures and the general atmosphere is very quite. Plus, the hostel is very central, not far from the railway station and the city centre. What I didn't like: the mattress was... More

This is not a pleasant experience. The carpets in the rooms are filthy, our bathroom stank and the hallways also suffer from terrible odours. Apart from all of that, the 'customer service' is non-existent in this hostel - the reception is staffed only for short hours and when occupied, the staff are incompetent and unpleasant. I would DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND... More

Stayed here for three nights. As others have mentioned, the check-in times were not very convenient (we had to wait an hour and a half before we could check in). We also had a problem paying by credit card, which I note someone else had said had been a problem--they tried two or three times to make the card work... More

We thought Southend Hostel Bremen was a strange hostel - people (including elderly people) lived there too, which gave it a weird atmosphere. It was dingy and dirty - the carpet in the dorm was filthy, as were the pillows. We used our sleeping bags instead of the linen because the place was not clean and it smelt too. The... More
