We chose this hotel due to it's location and relatively low price compared to others. It literally couldn't be any closer to the underground station (Samariterstraße U-Bahn is outside the front door, with only 5 stops to Alexanderplatz). Also, if you want to check out the surrounding Friedrichshain area, you will be in the perfect location with lots of really... More

We stayed here while visiting a relative in East Berlin, it is close to the rail and roads. A clean, comfortable Hotel. Rooms are compact, well priced, the lifts work fine, the staff are helpful. For the price it is good value.

Good value hotel right next to u bahn entrance so very handy for access to transport network. Local shops nearby for fresh produce. Would have been nice to have fridge in room as needed milk for drinks. Tea and coffee facilities on request from reception but take your own teabags as only fruit ones. We did not go for breakfast... Stayed in a double classic room. The bed was comfortable but it is not a classic double bed, there are two single beds put together. The room was small but had everything we needed and was clean. The only negative thing was heating/air con unit. It was too hot in our room. Not sure if there was a fault or... More

This hotel was only a few stops to Alexandraplatz on the underground. Very busy road but quiet if you kept the windows closed. Clean, comfortable, good price, excellent breakfast. Wifi is poor but then it is in most hotels in Berlin and other big cities (suspect too much downloading going on). I took own toiletries as two reviews mentioned none... More

The hotel is clean, rooms essential but nice and quiet (also those on the side of Frankfurter Allee). As others commented on wi-fi, signal was a bit low in the room but overall it was working ok. The hotel is perfectly located right in front of a metro station (seriously, no more than 20 steps) from which one can get... More

A good hotel , had a pleasant stay friendly staff . The only point of criticism is that the wifi connection in my room was very minimal and at certain moments not available. Next to the U-bahn ideal for exploring the city.

The nearest metro station is just outside the hotel entrance, quite convenient and rooms are nice and clean, except the WIFI rest is good. The staff was also helpful, quite ok for the price. They do sell the berlin welcome card

But you don't come to Berlin to stay at your hotel room. Nearest metro station is just outside the entrance, so the hole city is in your fingertips! And when you return, there are enough nice and affordable restaurants to serve you a decent meal. But if WiFi is important to you, go somewhere else. When I stayed, wifi was... More

My boyfriend and I got 5 days here on a last minute deal for pretty cheap. Starting with the positives: - Great location; nearest U Bahn was metres from the front door - Reception staff very friendly and helpful Negatives: - The Wifi!! Like everyone has said, it is absolutely horrendous. We relied on it heavily to be able to... More

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighborhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
