I had a room with private bathroom. Room was simple, but clean. Breakfast excellent and location superb (right on the Kudamm). I was here for a tradeshow in the Berliner Messe and found that some others were too.

A great place to check into, as it lays in the heart of Berlin, amongst a plethora of shops and the brilliant "Curry Wolf" downstairs on the street. I recommend trying "Menu 2" for sure. So good! It is also close to public transport, with regular buses coming almost to the door.

Through HOTELS.COM, I booked a room at HOTEL BEROLINA am Kurfurstendamm in Berlin online at 166,95 € for one night, and when I arrived I noticed the "small print" - "SHEARED BATHROOM"! If you check the price at http://www.berolinahotels.de/kudamm/home.html you will find that a single room WITH a private bathroom is priced at 59 €. So, please do not book... More

Budget eBay going accommodation in the centre of Betlin. Clos to Berlin Zoo and railway station. Multiple restaurants and enterteinment spots are around. Great shopping area. Breakfast nearby and koffee / tea to drink anytime. No thrills but good value for money.

The location is incredible, easy access to train station also from Tegel Airport (more important for me!), lot of shopping center just a step away. With the affordable price you would get quite room with private bathroom, enough for comfortable sleep and activities. Internet for free in your room, but it's better in a reception. Next time I will visit... More

Every Time I go to Berlin, I will look for this hotel first. The location is incredible, easy access to train station also from Tegel Airport, lot of shopping center just a step away. With the affordable price you would get quite little room but enough for sleep and activities. Internet for free in your room and also some fruit,... More

A great hotel in the heart of Berlin (close to Kurfürstendamm) - it's not the most beautiful or cozy place, but it's clean, the staff is really nice and the location is very good. It might be more of a hostel actually, as the bathrooms are usually shared on the floor. But if you pay just a little bit extra... More

We paid about €200 for 3 nights including breakfast. I consider that a great deal. We stayed on the top floor and the room was basic but comfortable. Had a great view and the building was old and interesting. But it's definitely a budget hotel. The wifi didn't work well or else not at all and we had to share... More

A basic but excellent hotel. The staff is superb, helpful, and efficient. Good location, but some of the rooms might be a bit noisy. If it is unseasonably hot, beware, as there is no Air Conditioning, but they are very helpful and might lend you the fan. Breakfast adequate. Constant supply of tea and coffee in lobby which also has... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
