I stayed in this hotel back in August 14. I was in Berlin for the Beer festival and was meeting friends who were staying in other hotels. When I arrived my room wasn't ready so I went to the bar next door for half an hour. When I returned I was told my room was ready and given my key.... More

With some input, this place good be very good. At the moment, it is just average. Good location: plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars around and good transport links. Our triple room was large, but lacked any access to boiled water (for tea or baby needs). The double bed had two single duvets - not great for a couple! The... More

Had a large clean room, but that's all. Don 't expect a very warm welcome. Staff was making quite some noise during the cleaning at 9 o'clock. Not very logical if you book a hotel in this particular 'going out' area. No wifi in the room.

Location is good. But, Wifi ONLY works basically next to the reception desk, and even there it´s a poor connection. The night service´s not good. Not at the desk and people waiting to enter the hotel.

This hotel is a bit below basic. No wifi beyond reception and then signal disappears at random. Rooms are worn. Front desk staff lacks friendliness and immediate neighborhood is dirty. There is really nothing comfortable about this hotel.

Nice hotel, single room with a shared bathroom (just for 2 rooms) , small room but comfortable, clean, nice service. Very well located, 25 min by foot from Alexander platz, metro and tram very close, a supermarket just in front, lots of bars and restaurants around, safe suburb, safe hotel.

The hotel is nothing special but totally OK. I always stay there when i'm in Berlin. Prices are cheap and the location is perfect. You'll find a lot of good places for good and cheap food just within 5 minutes of walking. And it's just 5 minutes of walking to the train station. Definitely a good choice!

I paid less than SGD 40 per night and I found that this hotel is a pretty good deal for backpackers. Though I have to share a bathroom with the room next to me, the hotel is clean, smells nice, and nicely heated during the winter. A little bit drawback is that you can only access the Internet on the... More

We stayed here at the end of a Baltic Experience tour. Many have mentioned the location which is great. We didn't stay in the main hostel/hotel (?), but a third floor room around the corner. So for us it was really quiet (ie not on that same road as the reception in the pics). The room was spacious and clean.... More

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighborhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
