We were 3 nights in this hostel. It is clean and with tram you can be in 5 min on Alexanderplatz. Only one bath for floor, but really clean. Good option if you only need a room to sleep and a shower with hot water. The furnitures are like the basics of Ikea.

4 floors, no elevator. Insufficient English skills of the reception. Charged me we all the amount just after the booking and not after check-in as written online. The other things were very good for a cheap hostel.

The receptionist with red hair was not friendly and unwilling to help...terrible attitude. Rooms are crappy and place around is not good. The "breakfast" only includes bread, a boiled egg and Nutella...what a steal! Please look for another hotel!

Nobody speaks English at the reception and it's impossible to deal with any problems like only one set of bedclothes (we were in a double room). One toilet and one shower isn't enough for one floor and they are horribly dirty (pubic hair all over the shower EVERYDAY). The conditions are definitely like in hostels (or even worse, considering the... More

The location was really good but I wasn't delighted. The room and bathrooms were fair, but the wi fi connection was constantly breaking off. There were 3 of us and at least one person didn't have an internet connection. The second problem was that the staff wasn't really much... there and they didn't speak to much english.

This place was a disappointment. Absolutely not to recommend, even considering the low price tag. The personal unfriendly, dirty bed sheets, slow wifi, noisy drunken guests and no luggage storage. Such a pity, as the location would be excellent otherwise.

It's very good hotel. I stayed at the hotel for 5 nights, I like it. Cheap single room. I ordered a late arrival at 8 pm. A late check-in, you will have to pay 10 euros. The key to the room give a pledge of 20 euros. I recommend this hotel budget travelers.

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
