This hotel is in such a great location. Within walking distance of a major U and S-Bahn station - Alexanderplatz. The rooms are clean and value for money which is all you can really ask for. It would be nice to have wi-fi but that's a minor complaint. The rooms were quiet and well-equipped. Would definitely stay here again.

I was on a Business trip to Berlin and stayed in Room No. 330 of Hotel Motel One Berlin-Alexanderplatz during 10-14 Jun 15. Last September, I stayed in their hotel near Dusseldorf Main Railway Station. Motel One is a unique Brand of Hotel. I like them for their reasonable tariff and smart environment with Bed, Breakfast and Wi-fi. For a... More

Perhaps I am being slightly mean marking this hotel down but it is a problem with this cabin of hotels. Whilst the room is clean (but small and box like) and the staff were lovely, we were surprised by the breakfast policy. Their own website actually states how much they know clients love coffee and croissant for breakfast (true) so... More

Very modern hotel looks good but no bedside tables so nowhere to put things that would go on one, e.g.glass of water, your reading glasses etc. The sink was very big and beautiful but purely decorative , the 'plug' was not a plug so water just runs away. The whole point of a sink is to have water in it... More

We stayed here and agree with most comments. The motel is modern and new looking, bathrooms were clean, location is great for using the train system, close to the TV tower, etc. As we had people in three rooms on different floors and also had plumbing problems with one room, a phone in the room would have been helpful. (They... More

Half of the success of our 5-day-holiday in Berlin was thanks to this excellent accommodation. Comfort, quality, kindness that you wouldn't normally expect (not up to this level, at least) from a budget hotel are key characteristics of this place, and none of us has suffered from the lack of a room telephone, of the minibar or of a wardrobe.... Stayed here for business in Berlin. Great location first and foremost because you can walk to the Alexanderplatz station in just a few minutes. The staff was helpful, my room was of acceptable size and the bathroom was very clean. A great quality stay on a budget. I also really enjoyed their breakfast buffet, which had a wide variety. Wifi... More

This hotel is situated very close to Alexanderplatz railway station. The TV tower and Galleria shopping centre are also within walking distance. It is a short walk to Hackeshof Markt, which is a lovely area full of restaurants. With regards to the room, it was very clean and stylish. There perhaps isn't much room around the bed if you have... This location of Motel One is great, it is pretty quite but very central to areas of interest, food, and shopping, as well as transportation. The hotel has a nice common area, with breakfast and bar area for relaxation and refreshments. Rooms are well appointed, the basics are covered. If you want a bar of soap and tissues, bring your... This hotel has a great location just a block away from Alexanderplatz S-Bahn station (slightly farther from the U-Bahn). Reception was very friendly and professional and I was offered a room at the front or the back without having to ask, which I appreciated. The room was everything I expected. The cost of my 2-night stay was very reasonable indeed... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
