Stayed here for one night, mostly because it's a short walk from Berlin Hauptbahnhof and very reasonably priced. The manager was very friendly and welcoming. The small place attached to the hotel where you can eat and drink is nice in a way that balances traditional and easy-going. The bed wasn't comfortable though, and the room was a bit cramped.... I recently stayed here for three nights and enjoyed it. The owner is a great guy who goes out of his way to help. Clean and tidy rooms the hotel is situated in a nice area of Berlin with some good cheap bars full of friendly locals. Ten minutes walk to the nearest train station and 100m from the bus... More

This place is great for those who are out all day on business or exploring Berlin and want to return to a simple, but clean and well appointed room. The different wall illustrations with Berlin motives and colour themes give each room an individual touch. The young Greek owner and host puts love and attention into the way he runs... More

I stayed at the Hotel this last weekend. The communications for the last couple of months since booking have been excellent. The young man who owns and runs the Hotel with his parents was always on the ball - even when he had to go into hospital briefly after an accident. My food allergies were catered for and the accommodation... More

I stayed for 6 nights in August 2012. The hotel-pension is centrally location - within walking distance of Hauptbahnhof but closer to Bellevue S-Bahn station (1 stop from Hauptbahnhof). From Bellevue the S-Bahn will have you at Alexanderplatz in 10 minutes. It's clean, neat, and your host, Athanasios, is friendly and helpful. Prices are excellent for Berlin. A good breakfast... ...very clean rooms and breakfast was good. The only problem was that the owner said that breakfast was from 7 am, but one morning we showed up at 8.30 and breakfast wasn't ready. The day we left we had to wake up early and at 7.10 am the reception wasn't even open. So if you have to wake up early,... More

This hotel is clean and good value for the money. The breakfast and the parking is included in the room rate and it is close to the city and the metro. The owner is very nice and goes out of his way to help you with directions or anything you need to make your stay more comfortable. It is a... More

Staying in Moabit

Neighborhood Profile
You may not realize Moabit is one of the city’s most central neighborhoods when you arrive at Hauptbahnhof (central station). Surrounded by waterways, Moabit is a quiet island protected from the hustle and bustle of Berlin. The crowds that do gather prefer spending their evenings in cozy restaurants over the party venues offered by other districts. With its beautiful parks, old housing and romantic industrial areas, life has traditionally been relaxed and a bit slower here. But the tone may soon be changing. Reasonable housing costs and proximity to city center are attracting more young Berliners and international visitors. This interest is encouraging new bars, cafés and nightclubs, making Moabit a candidate for most up-and-coming neighborhood in the city.
