Nice hotel walking distance from the Spree (restaurant/bar area), close to tram stop and 10min away S Banh. Very friendly personnel. Paid breakfast with cold and warm selection. Free WiFi. In general very nice hotel unfortunately as many hotels in Europe instead of having one double bed there were to individual beds put together.

Hotel Aquino is primarily the residential conference centre of the Roman Catholic Church in Berlin (and the Church of St Thomas Aquinas is an integral part ofthe building); do not be surprised to see a Cross and a Bible in your room. This hotel offers good quality and very clean accommodation (typical of Germany). A buffet breakfast is available. Very... More

Stayed here for a weekend. Its clean and very centrally located . Had a single room with good wifi. My room overlooked a graveyard which was quite a surprise so watch out for that!. A walk away from a ton of restaurants , bars and pubs so its good

The hotel os very close to the central railwaystation - it's about 7 minute walk. Rooms are very spacious, bathroom is equipped with all necessary items and even looks minimalistically stylish. We liked the place where the breakfast is served: very nice and quiet. Overall the hotel is very good for it's price.

... not what I expected to find after checking in on a weekend in Berlin. I must admit the price was great, but I prefer to pay a little extra for not being looked down at by the receptionist. This place comes with a weird religious atmosphere. Nowhere on Bookings its mentioned that you might have to behave like staying... More

We stayed at the hotel for 1 night only. I go to Berlin very often (my best friend used to live here for 6 years and I used to visit her often and I go here because of the business as well). When I booked it I got a very special price 49 EUR / per night / per double... More

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, the hotel is actually a Catholic conference centre, the room was very small, and requires a lot of maintenance, buffet breakfast was poor, and hotel had no other services to provide, do not expect anything other than a room to sleep at, and a poor quality breakfast. Reception staff were always attentive... More

We stayed in this hotel in May 2014 and we think that it is very confortable with a strategic position to visit by walk the city center. Rooms are clean. Breakfast was not included and very expensive, but near the hotel there are several backery to have breakfast. The staff is lovely. We suggest to go there to have a... More

Berlin is a huge city, so there are plenty of convenient places to stay, and this is certainly one of them. It's a short walk to the u-bahn at Oranienburgstrasse, and fifteen minutes to fredrickstrasse station, which is a great connecting hub to everywhere else. The hotel has friendly staff, 24 hour desk, and comfortable rooms. It's also really easy... More

I was traveling all over Germany to promote Egypt for the catholic foundation "MIssio". So we (a coptic catholic bishop from Egypt and me) were installed for a one night. The room was spacious, with minibar, great TV - set, balcony... I would love to stay there one week. The most terrific thing was the breakfast-buffet! Absolutely 5*****! As a... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
