This place was simply superb. First class location within walking distance of major attractions (Check Point Charlie, Brandenburg Gate etc), everything worked, very nicely finished apartment, extremely quiet room, and the staff are outstanding. Every question was answered in a very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful manner and in particular, the receptionist Katja Reich went out of her way to ensure... More

Our 2nd time staying here and both times we've had a great experience. Modern and minimal in design, utilizing quality finishing that are efficient and well appointed in each room. It is centrally located to many sights without the chaos of tourist overload. If you are an experienced self sufficient traveler who likes a peaceful retreat in the midst of... More

From the moment we arrived we could not be happier. Friendly staff and on a street just around the corner from Unter den Linden. Apartments have everything one could want. Large comfortable bed , modern kitchen and bathroom. Great location short walk to many of the top attractions : Museum Island, Historical Museum, Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag and many others. Classy... More

Our 2nd stay in 3 months. We decided to stay at Clipper City again because of the close proximity to the main attractions and the very reasonable cost. We booked the Studio apartment this time and the room had also been renovated in March 2014. The Studio apartment was more than sufficient for 2 adults even though it is the... More

Be warned: This is not a hotel but a boarding house, so you will not have daily maid service. But in turn, you have a small kitchen and overall, reside in a very good location and in a newly renovated house. The only staff we met were the people at the welcome desk. They are not very friendly (even for... More

I felt totally safe traveling alone in this neighborhood. Shopping is fantastic. Hugo Boss, Armani, Galleries Lafayette, Escada, and more. Checkpoint Charlie is a 10 minute walk. Reichstag Building is 15 minutes. The room itself was very nice. The bathroom was done so beautifully. I'm not sure who thought of light green to put on all the walls, but everything... More

What an excellent choice we made. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly by reception even though we were early (arrived before check-in time). We were given clear and concise instructions on how to reach our room and what a room it was. Our welcome letter advised us that we were one of the first to try the renovated room (comfort... More

We stayed at Clipper City Home Apartments (top floor) for 2 nights late September / early October. The service was friendly and the apartment was nice and spacious. There is also a Nespresso machine in the kitchen, but capsules are only provided upon arrival and then have to be purchased from reception (80 Euro cents each - that's ok, but... More

Clipper was a very good choice for us. It was very near the Brandenburg Gate where the marathon started. The rooms are well appointed with a well stocked kitchenette. All the appliances were in excellent condition and the rooms were very large. There were lots of great stores next to the hotel as well as great restaurants. It was also... More

Overall, I'd say this was a great place to stay. Compared to any of the downtown Berlin (Mitte) hotels, this is MUCH cheaper, and you get a LOT of room compared to most European hotels. Positives: 1) Thomas at the front desk- very friendly and accommodating when he could be, had great recommendations and was just an overall great guy.... More
