Very spacious room, smartly furnished and decorated, ideal for working and relaxing. Very comfortable bed! With a small amount of kitchen equipment the Clipper means you can be pretty self-sufficient.Whilst there is no bar, lounge area or restaurant, you can find all of these things nearby. Also, near to lots of transport facilities, whether Friedrichstraße station, U-bahn or buses such... More

Second experience of Clipper House apartments as we stayed in Hamburg early January 2015 - very well equipped apartment. Great location during very cold spell but luckily very handy for U Bahn stop. Reception staff very helpful with one exception. Minus points as follows : No Sky TV working other than Sky News, only German channels and no DVD player... More

Comfort room 708! We spent 5 nights there. Great service. Privacy. Quiet. Everything (shower, speaker, tv, kitchen equipment) was working fine. And most of all - location! Next to romantic Gendarmenmarkt. Next door to Lafayette mall. A short walko to Branderburger Gate and Museum Island... With taxi rank at the entrance...

If your staying in Berlin for a few days, this is great. Very large and convenient rooms (45 mt. sq) right in the center of town. Taxi, train, buses, restaurants, shops all 2-3 minutes way. From hotel I walked to every site; 20-30 minutes easy and enjoyable. But yes, Clipper City has no room service, lobby, etc. etc..but who needs... More

The flat was just perfect. Not too big, but still bigger than a hotelroom and the kitchen was very useful with the Nespresso coffee machine (don't forget to take some capsules with you) and microwave owen. Bathroom was spacious with walk-in shower. They even had a real baby cot (not the travel one) ready for the baby and a special... More

Comfortable appartment hotel in the real city center of Berlin. At this time of the year one should really visit the Christmas market only one street away. Although the hotel has no restaurant, it has an indoor access to the neighboring restaurant. So also for breakfast everything is there. Very attentive staff as well.

Simply very smart apartment hotel, room was truly huge, I don't believe I have seen an apartment hotel room so big. Bed was excellent with very clean soft bed linen, the furnishing are new, the sofas genuinely comfortable. Great place good place to stay.

So much roomier than a hotel! We loved the privacy and the comforts of home. You can't go wrong at this location. It is so ultra nice, clean and cozy. I loved the down comforters! There is the most adorable wine bar/restaurant place below. They serve a breakfast buffet in the mornings. And wine and cheese in the evening. The... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
