When I heard that I have to visit Berlin for business, but couldn't book any highly expensive accommodation, I did not hesitate to chose the Clipper City Home. I prefer to have a bit of my own space, with self catering facilities and spacious rooms. I got both. I had a standard room, which doesn't have the dish washer, but... More

High quality, spacious apartment in central Berlin. Staff excellent. Secure garage under the building ( extra charge reasonable). I do not know if other apartments have full kitchen facilities, but ours did not. Kettle, coffee machine and microwave enough for breakfasts and aperitifs, but with so many wonderful restaurants in Berlin we found this ideal. Common laundry facility very useful.... More

Apart Hotel centrally located in Berlin with excellent rooms and linked to Italian restaurant with good breakfast. The location is in the former East Germany close to the Brandenburg Gate and Unter den Linden. It is in easy walking distance of many of the excellent museums and a short distance from some of the amazing areas still not altered much... More

Quiet location. Ideal as central and not far to walk to all main attractions. Avoid Italian as just too expensive. Loads of excellent restaurants nearby. Very pleased with room and comfortable bed. Spotless and staff helpful.

I have stayed here times several times over the past 10 years. 3-4 times a year at one point. I last visited in April of 2015 and the renovations are excellent. They took an already wonderful Hotel and made it better. They removed the stoves from the kitchenette but not to worry. They put a portable stove top in my... More

This was a lovely apartment close to a lot of the sights in Berlin and it is just off the Unter den Linden too. The apartment had everything you could want including an enclosed balcony with views of the TV Tower and the Brandenburg Gate. Only small disadvantage was the apartment welcome pack which was just that and they charged... More

Fabulous five-night stay. We had a Komfort Apartment, which was extremely spacious and had a conservatory with seating. It was very quiet at night. We used the kitchenette to make coffee twice. The bottle of Prosecco for my birthday was a nice touch. Good coffee and fine breakfast at the adjoining restaurant. The wifi was very good. The king size... More

Very convinient. Easy access to attractions, restaurants and shopping. High quality of equipment and god space in executive appartment. The tube NOT for older people (unsecure). Forget all about restaurant Sagrantino. Try the Zeitgeist nearby at VW- shop in Friedrichstrasse.

Modern, comfortable apartments. Free wifi. No view from the 2nd floor comfort room. The location is central, but don't expect to find many restaurants or cafes in the closest vicinity. Breakfast (served at an Italian restaurant in the same building) not worth 11,90 euro.

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
