Used Vega several times and always to my satisfaction. Although the building looks sad, the location is excellent (close to Kudamm, U bahn and the quaint Savigny square). The appartments are spacious, parking is available in the basement and pricing is reasonable. Check-out the Vietnamese restaurant on the corner of Kantstrasse and Savigny Square - food/price relationship is mad. Only... More

Stayed in a big apartment which slept 5 easily. Right next to the railway but didn't worry us at all. Easy access to transport and good facilities close by. Nice to be able to have our own breakfast to suit variable wake up times.

We stayed in one of the studio type apartments. Location is excellent for exploring the city with kids. Zoo and main shops is within walking distance. S-bahn, busses, metro are also very close, so you can choose how you want to travel around. Some reviewers complained about the noise (as the train tracks are very close) but it never disturbed... When I went to Vega with my friends I had a very pleasant journey: it was all always clean and during night there were no noises. Moreover, it's near a metro station and you'll find out how useful this is!

We stayed with two of my girlfriends here in September 2013. Everything worked and the receptionists were very helpful. Its on a good location, near to Kadewe and theres a lot of pubs, restaurants in the nearby. Also across the street theres a lovely bakery where we got fresh breakfast croissants. The price is affordable. Not too luxorious, but everything... More

We had 2 apartments for 6 persons each. The location i very good, the apartments were ok, not more than that. There was only the most necessary equipment in the kitchen. A few more glass etc would have been nice. But for a group of friends who did not spend a lot of time in the apartment, it was good... More

With our GPS, the building was not difficult to find. It is located close to the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church which is the main shopping district of Berlin. There are several metro and bus stations within a 5 minute walk. The grocery store (Ulrich) was also a 5 minute walk. These make the location perfect. The receptionist was not very... More

We rented a 4 bed 1 room apartment with balcony. It was clean there was room wifi, the kitchen and bathroom were clean and really well equipped. There was 1 main sleeping area with a good sized continental double (almost like 2 singles side by side) plus a pull out leather sofa providing another small double (not terribly luxurious but... The Aparthotel Vega apartment we rented for three days met all our expectations. Clean, simple and very convenient to local transport. The Uhlandstrasse subway station and the bus stop for the airport bus were a five minute walk away on the Kurfurstendamm. A terrific little breakfast spot is located across the road, and a small organic supermarket was just around... More

I stayed here with 2 other friends at the end of March 2012 for a week, and it was better than expected! There are no restaurants inside, but it is located close to everything! Kurfürstendamm is at the end of the block, so there's plenty of places to eat at near there. Also, the Berlin Zoo is in walking distance.... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
