We arrived for a four day Christmas break, late on the 24th. I had checked the street view on Google earth and was therefore aware that there was a casino downstairs. The apartments appear to be in a residential block and the smell of cooking pervades the stairwell. Undeterred, we went up to reception, where were greeted by a friendly... More

Beyond words as we were extremely disappointed on arrival. Located directly above a rather noisy casino which could be heard from the first floor. The room had a horrible odour which, like the furniture, seemed to be from the 70s (and not in a fun retro way). When questioning the room the manager was arrogant and rude and walked away... More

Could not ask for better place.Stayed there for two nights. We were 6 people staying in big apartment equipped with kitchen and accessories. This is a perfect stay if visiting with family.I would highly recommend this apartment.

first impressions I admit weren't great; the outside is reminiscent of a 70s office block or local authority housing, and my face fell. I swiftly understood why the building was greyed out on Googlemaps. This did not improve when the entrance corridor was littered with unused furniture. We had booked a family apartment and been promised via email a kitchen... More

The decor and furnishings will not overwhelm you. Our room was spartan, but functional. The key to this hotel was the location. Was a 5-10 minute walk from Zoo Station, so getting there from Tegel was simple taking the X9 bus. It's next to the S-bahn tracks between Zoo Station and Savignypltaz and you have your choice of station to... More

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights with 10 family members this past Summer and I must say I was very pleased with my stay. The apartments are spacious, clean and well illuminated. The building is secure (three locks to get to my apartment!) and the reception staff is helpful and knowledgeable. We were offered maps and internet for... More

The property does not look much at the start but the helpful staff really make this place worth staying at if your on a short visit or need a place to crash at the end of a hectic day. The apartment is very close to the Railway station and is very well connected. We were here for the IFA 2015... More

This hotel is extremely Convenient to Berlin's great transportation system. The two bedroom apartment was well appointed, spacious and comfortable. Staff very helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

My son and I stayed there last week for 3 nights. It is not a resort hotel nor does it try to sell itself as one. The location was good. It was 1 block to the metro. Plenty of shops supermarkets and restaurants near by. We had the room for 3 as that was all that was left when we... More

Used Vega several times and always to my satisfaction. Although the building looks sad, the location is excellent (close to Kudamm, U bahn and the quaint Savigny square). The appartments are spacious, parking is available in the basement and pricing is reasonable. Check-out the Vietnamese restaurant on the corner of Kantstrasse and Savigny Square - food/price relationship is mad. Only... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
