On a long vacation in Berlin, my stay at Minilofts was near perfect. Comfortable, spacious "studio"--friendly but not intrusive staff--very fine location for all public transportation, including the main rail station and the U-Bahn. Good waling area. Highly useful, Miniloft-specific guidebook to sites, restaurants, clubs--I tried many recommended restaurants and they were all enjoyable and the book led me to... More

Great apartment, spacious and clean. Location very good, walking distance to main attractions. Local restaurants that we used were good. Tip go where the Berliners eat. Staff were helpful and everything ran without a hiccup except for the train service to the airport ! They cancelled two trains but they don't tell you until it is due in. Even the... More

From booking to checkout, we were incredibly impressed by the Mininlofts team and the apartments themselves. Our emails were quickly and courteously answered, and the team members were just as lovely in person; we were given really helpful and accurate advice on how to travel into Berlin from the airport and how to access the Minilofts building and we felt... We stayed for almost two weeks, and were very a happy about both the room, the sentral location, the friendly staff, and the architecture of the building. The exterior room can easily handle a family of four to five people. Walking distance to many of the great attractions in Berlin (Mitte, Mauerpark, Museum Insel, and more). This was our second... I stayed at the Miniloft in a 'Classic' apartment for four days with my two adult sons. It is well located and close to may places you would want to go to when visiting Berlin and close to transport. We loved the apartment for its uncluttered style and it's quiet location. it is beautifully presented with everything you could possibly... More

The Miniloft is in a very central location & easy to walk many places & the U-ban & main central station are both closeby. We stayed 6 nights in mid May in the "compact" miniloft & found it to be very well provisioning for self catering & well designed. We loved the modern architecture & minimalist look. Self catering was... More

Miniloft is well located to Hauptbahnhof and the U bahn. The kichen area with appliances meant we could cook our own food. We cooked the white asparagus to celebrate Spargelzeit and prepared breakfast ourselves except for one day when we took advantage of the breakfast offer at the nearby Nordic Hotel. The apartment was very pleasant with a lovely outlook.... More

Berlin is a great city with much to see and do. Manifold apartments are central, comfortable, easy to live in and frankly add a whole dimension of quality to any stay in this city. These people have gone a long way to offer a truly special place to stay.

It was great staying somewhere that you could make your own and not another anonymous hotel room that could be anywhere in the world. This was Berlin, that was where I was staying. It was hard to get out see Berlin though, just wanted to stay 'home' but the guide book enticed me out the door and was a great... More

We loved staying at the Miniloft. The apartment was stylish and cleverly set out. It was a lovely place to return to at the end of each day. The location is excellent. We were able to walk to the sites in both West and East Berlin. The management at Miniloft also provided a most useful guide which set out walking... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
