Getting the keys to one of the lofts is like moving into a new town. At home within minutes, easy to come and go, style like a place I'd be happy to call home. Altho I could have done my homework beforehand, I hadn't. I hadn't worked out where to go for archi-tourism, brekky-like-a-local or transport options. The homegrown guide... More

Stayed at the loft a week ago. I love it so much. It is very stylish, clean, contemp, minimalistic, warm, central, complete. I would want to move in here and call it my home. Love the way the owner made old and new work together so well.

We were excited about staying in a well-conceived building. However, upon arrival found the interior, although clean, bland in comparison to the external structure. The shower head fell down a few times during use which was annoying. We were given 2 single duvets for a queen size bed. This showed a lack of thought for the guests. The mini-guide is... More

Wonderful space for your stay in Berlin. Although not as central as some places in Mitte it's only 1.5 ks from Brandenburg Gate and on new team line that goes to railway station a short walk away. Needs good coffee machine then ticks every box. I didn't find out about rooftop until reading review in mag after I left!

We spent a month based in Berlin at mini loft over the Christmas New Year period. We had an extroverted loft which was plenty of space for the two of us. In terms of location and convenience, it's very very good. Easy to get around from here and lots within close walking distance. Having the convenience of the laundry and... More

Great place to stay in Berlin! I booked a compact miniloft for 6 nights after a German Christmas markets tour. It felt like home at the end of each busy day -- more than enough room for one person, well-equipped, very clean, comfortable, safe, airy and bright -- and a nice break after changing hotels (and small hotel rooms) every... The Miniloft is a great place to stay in Berlin. The design of the loft was beautiful. We stayed at the extroverted loft and enjoyed the design, big space and light from the surrounding windows. The attitude of the office people was great and they allowed us late check out without extra charge. The location was superb- 5 minutes' walk... More

We staid with 3 persons in the classic room. Very spacious, clean and modern. Vandal proof and very timeless interior. Kitchen very well equiped. Very central not far from Friedrichstrasse. Price is reasonabel for such a big room. I will return.

It was really pleasant to stay in this modern and comfortable apartment - a change from the more traditional guest houses we generally choose. In a relatively quiet neighbourhood, but interesting views over the street, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and felt at home. Very simple and stylish furnishings that were unfussy and practical and suited us to the... More

We have just returned from Berlin with our 8 month old daughter and like the previous reviewer found the facilities for travelling with a young child to be superb. The team at Miniloft have thought of pretty much everything so in addition to the free family pack (travel cot and linen, high chair, stroller, baby bath, potty, toys, baby plates... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
