Well I have to disagree with the review above as I thought this hotel was excellent. The room and rest of hotel was very clean and was also quiet during our stay. The continental breakfast was great and there was plenty to fill you up to begin your day. Christian was very helpful and knowledgeable and spent time suggesting some... More

That is the worst "hotel" among hundreds of hotels we visited around the world! It's even hard to call it a hotel, it's situated on 3-d floor of some apartments/offices building, with no reception & very unkind personnel. Usually 3 star hotels in Berlin are of high quality, you come in and see actual personnel, your room probably won't be... More

We booked to come for a short break for new year last year myself and my boyfriend and a couple of friends joined us a few days later. The breakfast was lovely just what you needed to fill up ready to face the cold Berlin weather in Dec/Jan. The staff were very helpful and we were even given some bubbly... More

We stayed here for three week-end nights in November 2013. The weather was chilly but their central heating was working well. Reasonable sized room for comfortable twin beds with large en-suite with hot shower. All kept very clean and quiet. Inclusive buffet breakfasts of North European menu were always tasty. We were advised that they prefer settlement in cash but... More

My wife and me spent 3 nights at Hotel Pension Fischer. Wonderful old house in the heart of Berlin. Only 300m to Ku-Damm or KDW. Close to Tiergarten and Zoo. The Pension was clean. The breakfast tasty and enough and the personal very friendly. Only the stairs into the 3rd floor was exhausted. If we stay next time in Berlin,... More

The hotel is located on the third level (No lifts) of a building with good clean ensuite double rooms. If you arrive late afternoon you keys are easily collected from another hotel, about 100yds away. The hotel is literally accross the road from the U - Bahn Augsburger station. The cost to travel to that station from Schoenefeld Airport is... More

We stayed in Hotel Pension Fischer in early September. We had a very nice, clean, ensuite double room. It occupies the third floor of an old building, which has alot of character, but no lift. The buffet breakfast was included in the rate and was excellent - we had a good selection of cereals, bread, cold meat and cheeses, bread,... More

Staff were really kind and friendly. They gave me a bottle of water when it was really hot. The hotel is in the 3rd floor of the building without any llift. But when I checked in, a man came out and took my heavy suitcase to the reception. Location was good especially for shopping at Ku'damm. Quite near from Augsburger... More

This is a simple hotel in a very nicely renovated old European building. It is a two floor walk up, but once there the rooms are a very good size with high ceilings. Nice breakfast and very friendly service. Just a few steps to great shopping and sight seeing.

I had been looking forward to staying at this very central Berlin hotel/B&B for sometime, as I had stayed here 17 previously, and I have to say, it has improved under its new management, not that I thought it needed improvement. It is walking distance from the Zoogarten rail station, which makes it a great base. The breakfast is great... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
