For people who love clean design and a nice atmosphere. The staff is very service oriented and helps wherever they can. Rooms have now wooden floor which is much nicer than the original grey carpet they used to have. That's a big plus. Unfortunately no good working space in the room, that's a big disadvantage.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Ellington for a few days and although it's a fairly central location in Berlin the (basic) rooms are very small. We had a standard room which included two twin sized bed pushed next to each other. This wouldn't have been an issue except it kept splitting apart in the middle due to them... More

Personally I much prefer staying in Mitte, the old west just doesn't have the character of Mitte and further out east. The hotels rooms were tiny. 2 people sharing is almost impossible. There is no privacy and no space to unpack or move around. The rooms also smell of cigarette smoke or chemicals. We did complain but they couldn't move... More

We stayed here and the hotelroom and the breakfast are great! The beds are comfy, the sower is good and the room is big and bright. Breakfast is truly great, everythong you might need is there. Only the juices ar enot fresh, that's a pitty. There is free wifi for one hour, you get a code. Since we live in... More

Small but clean room, solid breakfast, friendly staff etc., nothing extraordinary but if you're looking for a place to bunk at night while spending the day exploring Berlin this is for you. It's placed perfect, both for shopping, eating, public transportation to the center of Berlin or if you want to take a quiet walk in Tiergarten. The WiFi is... More

This is really a great hotel, in the middle of evryting. Short walking distance to shopping, restaurants, nighlife etc. etc. The hotel it self is a quite minimalistic styled hotel, that is in a all white and red design in the rooms. Great bar, nice restaruant, and a backyard/lounge area outside that just are stunning. I strongly recomend this hotel... More

I took a double bed room as I was with my son. I was disappointed when discovering the hotel. No concierge, you have to find the lobby by your own. Once arrived to the reception desk, you get your keys quite rapidly. Note that the wifi is free one hour per day. After one hour you are charged. when discovering... More

We relocated from the nearby lacklustre Crowne Plaza and were very happy with the move as the Ellington is a much better hotel and was the same cost despite it looking more expensive. The communal areas have a 1930s grandeur but it is quite modern in terms of guest rooms which were large and comfortable including the bed. The staff... More

I was staying in this hotel for two nights. Localisation is very good, it is a walking distance fromm all most interesting places to see. Hotel it self it is quite old (I do not like this style) it looks like old hospital with still this kind of plates on the walls and so on. Rooms are a to small,... More

I went with a group to the Jazz festival in Berlin on 9/11/13 we stayed at this hotel for a week. The hotel is centrally located to most areas walking distance. The hotel is a very nice modern hotel, rooms were a good size for Europe, the bathroom as well. We had breakfast every morning and it was a great... More
