Wife fell in tub and broke her nose with a large loss of blood. German health care was great, but hotel management never called over the next couple days to see how my wife doing. After hospital returned to uncleaned room with bloody towels still in bath room.

I was for the business trip at this hotel and I do know… first, its refurbished older building with strange layout. Second, a hotel tries to be „design trendy hotel“, buts really not my style. Third – check-in was weird. We used booking.com and it took us more than 20min to get to our rooms. Breakfast was great, but no... More

Small room, no kettle, expensive WiFi, limited mini bar, small towels and noisy. Great staff, great breakfast, comfortable bed, awesome shower and good location. On balance a reasonable hotel although rather pricey.

Impressive architecturally, but that's about as good as it gets. Everything else varies from poor (indifferent to downright rude service, miserly 1 hour free internet, weird shower in the bedroom so there's no actual separate bathroom) to average (food). Overall utterly underwhelming for far too much money. Place should be a two star. Although it is well located and has... More

I thought this hotel would have been more upscale considering the price we paid but instead it came off as more of a budget hotel for a high price. They include one hour of internet per night with the room. After that you have to pay. That is not a business friendly policy. Second the tiny shower is in the... More

staying at the Ellingtin leaves a feeling of hotek management being a little bit too cheap, wrecking what could be a much better experience: - pay for WiFi in this day and age? EU roaming is cheaper - all-in-one shampoo and shower gel rather than seperates - really thin towels, and not enough - if curtains were 3 inches longer... More

Not sure, if this hotel deserves 4stars. It's an old hospital I guess so the interiors are quite interresting, but the rooms (I had a single) are too small and strange. Everything was clean, friendly stuff and a good breakfast. But the overall feeling was neutral. Yes, and there is the good location. For a one-night stay OK, but for... More

We stayed at the Ellington for a weekend in October 2012 ( took me a while to remember to post teh review. . We chose the hotel because of it's great history and classic design. We stayed in the penthouse ( an upgrade via email to the hotel). The service we received pre-arrival was very professional and all of the... More

Had our wedding at this hotel and it was amazing. Service was very professional and courteous. We had a mix party of English and German speaking people and the staff was able to perfectly accommodate. Catered food was amazing as well. Stayed overnight in the tower suite and it was amazing, very spacious (for Europe!) and the amenities were great.... More

We stayed for2 nights last week and were really impressed with the hotel. In fact, no complaints actually. Fabulous building, understated and elegant. The Reception staff are very professional and polite. We booked a standard superior room which was worth it as reading some TA reviews it sounds like the basic rooms are very small. All white interior, stocked minibar,... More
