On the positive side - central location - clean - staff was ok Negative side - noisy - very small rooms - bad mattress Go to this hotel if location matters, you are a person who could even have good night sleep in a noise and uncomfortable place.

This was my first trip to Germany and what a pleasant surprise. Clean hotel with functional rooms. Only negative I could find was no tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms. Only a shower in our room with no bath. Free wifi each day per guest with a code supplied by reception staff who were friendly and efficient. They... More

stayed in the Ellington for a conference, which was superbly run, excellently catered, no complaints. the WiFi setup was a continuous issue, with the use of a password on an ongoing basis. A business hotel needs to facilitate business and WiFi is now fundamental! also issues having booked an extra night the keycard was automatically invalidated a day before my... More

Wife fell in tub and broke her nose with a large loss of blood. German health care was great, but hotel management never called over the next couple days to see how my wife doing. After hospital returned to uncleaned room with bloody towels still in bath room.

I was for the business trip at this hotel and I do know… first, its refurbished older building with strange layout. Second, a hotel tries to be „design trendy hotel“, buts really not my style. Third – check-in was weird. We used booking.com and it took us more than 20min to get to our rooms. Breakfast was great, but no... More

Small room, no kettle, expensive WiFi, limited mini bar, small towels and noisy. Great staff, great breakfast, comfortable bed, awesome shower and good location. On balance a reasonable hotel although rather pricey.

Impressive architecturally, but that's about as good as it gets. Everything else varies from poor (indifferent to downright rude service, miserly 1 hour free internet, weird shower in the bedroom so there's no actual separate bathroom) to average (food). Overall utterly underwhelming for far too much money. Place should be a two star. Although it is well located and has... More

I thought this hotel would have been more upscale considering the price we paid but instead it came off as more of a budget hotel for a high price. They include one hour of internet per night with the room. After that you have to pay. That is not a business friendly policy. Second the tiny shower is in the... More

staying at the Ellingtin leaves a feeling of hotek management being a little bit too cheap, wrecking what could be a much better experience: - pay for WiFi in this day and age? EU roaming is cheaper - all-in-one shampoo and shower gel rather than seperates - really thin towels, and not enough - if curtains were 3 inches longer... More
