A smallish "pension" (which stands for family run B&B or small hotel in German) smack in the middle of Charlottenburg, the posh quarter of the old West. Excellent location, very close to the legendary restaurant "Paris Bar". Rooms are built into a subdivided old bourgeois apartment in a classic "belle epoque" building. However, the renovation process was obviously more about... More

Pension Peters is a nice, simple place. The location is great, with lots of nice restaurants very close. A S-Bahn station is also nearby. The amenties were very basic, however there was a small refrigerator and TV in our room. Shampoo/shower gels were not provided, nor a hair dryer. Our room was quite large though, with 2 couches, and a... More

We stayed at the Pension Peters over Easter and it was nice. Don't expect too much, it's really simple, the towels and the blankets are very thin, but it's good value for money and the location is excellent. Try to avoid the ground floor rooms during winter time, it gets really cold (especially in the bathrooms!). But for people on... More

We found this accomodation through trip advisor, the location was good as was the area but the Pension was so basic I actually thought that it was a 'drop in' centre. The receiption/breakfast area consisted of rows of tables and chairs with one front desk for receiption. The bedroom whist it was quite large it looked like it was an... More

We stayed at the Pension Peters for a short weekend, and were very impressed with it. The staff were so friendly, very helpful with directions and planning things to do. The breakfast was fresh and served in a nice, open room with large, sunny windows. The best part was the location; it was only a short walk to major S-... More

I travel to Berlin regularly having lived there in the 70's. I heard about this hotel on Rick Steeves whose shows I love, but I normally wouldn't take any of his recommendations since I do not go to Europe to be surrounded by Americans. However, I liked the location so went onto the website to take a look. I liked... More

We loved our stay here. We booked based on reviews I had read previously and the owners' webpage. Kristoff and Daisy, really everyone we encountered, were very friendly and helpful. We had a double room on the 3rd floor (4th American) and I didn't realize before we arrived that there was no lift, but that really wasn't a problem. The... More

The pension Peters give you a great quality price solution for a stay in Berlin. Just 1 or 2 advice: be aware that a DOUBLE ROOM is not a room with 2 Beds but a room with 1 big ( quite small in fact) bed. The second thing you should know is that that hotel have 2 owner; 1 is... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in September, and were satisfied with our stay. The room was basic, but clean. The included breakfast was adequate, but the best part of this hotel(other than it being clean) was the staff, especially Daisy and Uwe(sp?). They were both very welcoming and helpful with any questions we had. The hotel is within easy... More

Pension Peters is a good place to stay if you are on a budget in Berlin. It is very accessible to neat restaurants and the metro. The rooms are fairly large but don't expect anything plush. No lift or ac. The staff and owners are very friendly and will help in any way they can. When there, go around the... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
