This is a really good spot to stay. The staff will do almost any thing to help you. We asked for good local spots to eat. The advice was really good. Help was freely given how to use public transportation and it worked well each time. Nice place with a good local feel. We felt more like guests than customers.... More

Clean and comfortable accommodation, fantastic breakfast, very helpful hosts. Good location in the heart of Berlin west with good transport links to Berlin east and HBH. However the S Bahn was not operating between Savigny Platz and the HBH due to maintenance. Ask for courtyard room, less noisy.

... which is impossible in these rooms. We had room #4 on ground floor in the inner courtyard, in July with temperatures +30°C. NOISE ALL NIGHT. At least four restaurants back up onto the same courtyard. In the evenings, from opening time until at least 02:00 the next morning, the room is filled with the sounds of working kitchens: clanking... More

Pension Peters is in the western area of Berlin. While the trains are close, the actual stations are a little bit of a walk. There are several really good restaurants nearby (Italian, German, etc.). We chose Pension Peters based on Rick Steves' recommendations in his Germany book. We do not spend a lot of time in our room when we... More

My husband and I chose this place after seeing it featured in one of Rick Steves' shows. Accommodations are pretty basic, but that was fine for us since we aren't hanging out in the room and we value affordability. Our bathroom was down the hall from our room, but only for us (not shared) so that was nice. Our room... More

We arrived early before our room could possibly be ready and were welcomed warmly by Daisy, who locked up our bags, offered us coffee and sat down with us to help,us find our way around Berlin. We loved our room that was large, had character, comfortable beds, space for our family of five (which included three teens), and a large,... More

I have stayed in hotels and rental apartments in Berlin, so I thought I'd try a pension. If you get the room/s facing the Savigny Square and don't mind noise from evening crowds, then this pension is a good stay. Savigny Square is a vibrant neighbourhood - bookstores, restaurants, boutiques, cinemas, S-bahn and U-bahn stations, plus I found a good... More

Our stay at Pension Peters (2 nights) was thoroughly enjoyable. This family-run hotel is full of character, charm, and people who make it their responsibility to ensure that guests feel at home. The area is convenient--close to the S- and U- lines, as well a multitude of restaurants, small boutiques, and stores. We appreciated the restaurant recommendations, as well! Rooms... More

The pension is good located not far from Kudamm and the Tegel Airport. The staff is very friendly and service minded. The rooms are are clean and just ok for relaxing after hours of walking in the capital city. We have had the big family room, with balcony, for a couple of stays and it´s just perfect. In the surroundings... More

Perfect for travelers who want to stretch their travel dollars without sacrificing basic comforts. Uwe was our welcoming host, and got us off to a great start in Berlin. We had a comfortably furnished (second-hand Ikea), sunny room with a separate private bathroom - which worked out better than we expected. The building was very large, and the student groups... Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
