This family-owned and -operated small hotel is in an excellent location with excellent transit connections. Ten minutes walk to the Staatsoper am Schiller, fifteen minutes to the Deutsche Oper Berlin. The Zoo U-Bahn is a few blocks or a couple bus stops. Room on back wing was quiet, clean, and modestly furnished. Private bath was compact but well laid-out. Breakfast... More

I found this little gem some years ago and come here about 6 times every year! It is situated in an old Berlin house in a very nice area which is mostly inhabited by locals - which I love. The rooms are very clean - basic but have what I need. The bathrooms are quite newly renovated and there are... More

On arrival I was greeted with a hug and was swept up to my room. I had reserved a single and while it was small, it suit my needs for the trip. It was clean, quiet and warm. The shower warmed up quickly and had good water pressure. There is not hairdryer in the room, but if you ask at... More

Look, no one who doesn't live in Berlin visits there to hang out in a hotel. So if you were expecting a bunch of frills: room service, and seaside views don't bother. But if you are looking for a decent place that's centrally located, safe, and has a hostess like Daisy Steiner that will go out of her way to... More

My wife and I stayed two nights in Pension Peters hotel last week. We stayed in a family room on the third floor, which very roomy and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed our stay. The staff was helpful with their restaurant recommendation and arranged for an early morning taxi to the airport. The wifi on the third floor worked as long... More

Sorry to say, but must, I've never had a worse stay at a hotel. Our room was above three cafes, which, even exhausted in the afternoon after our long flight, we couldn't catch a quick nap for all the noise. It was too hot to close the windows. There was no fan, no AC, no offer to change rooms when... More

Pension Peter is in the West Berlin area near the Zoo, the S Bahn and great small restaurants. The staff were very welcoming, the breakfast which cost 4 Euro was excellent. Room was clean beds were comfortable. We had no complaints!!

We stayed here in July as a family of 5 in one of the family rooms. The service was wonderful - very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room was spotless and spacious and breakfast was perfect - plenty for us and lots for the kids too. I definitely recommend Pension Peters as an affordable, well-located and comfortable family-friendly... More

Even before we arrived in Berlin, Pension Peters was available to answer specific travel questions by email. So it was great to have the room ready for us in the morning to freshen up after a red-eye. The quieter, courtyard rooms are apparently smaller. The two of us had a lovely spacious room, up a large stairwell (ask for something... More

Pension Peters is located near Savigny Platz and Kufuerstendamm less than two blocks from an S-Bahn station and within walking distance of the transportation hub at Zoobahnhof. Berlin has a delightful street cafe atmosphere in the summer, and Savigny Platz is a great location for these cafes. The room was very clean, with very high ceilings and windows to let... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
