You'll get a dorm with no direct connection to the reception nor the kitchen (extra key for this one), so you'll have to get outside. The German guy at the reception was OK. Big con -- NO WI-FI IN THE DORMS! You'll have to stick to the pub's Wi-Fi, which means no Internet after midnight. Far from the centre but... More

It was a really cheap hostel with bunkbeds and The standard is what you should expect for the price you pay. The cafe next door is also the reception with very friendly staff and good breakfast and food. The location is pretty close to metro stations that takes you to The center Quick and easy. In the area there is... More

The rooms are not very tidy, but to the circumstances, they are all right and the showers are usually well-cleaned in the morning, though they get quite dirty by nighttime. The bar part is very cosy, has a lively atmosohere, the staff is absolutely great, the new zealander in the mornings particularly. They serve great foods, and the place is... More

Such a meh experience. On the one hand, the owner from New Zealand was very very friendly. He gave us advice as to where to go and the bacon and egg breakfast was absolutely delicious. The inside of our private room was very beautiful. Like a secret garden, so that felt pretty cool. Bathroom was big and spacious. However, the... More

We are travelling Europe and our next hostel in Prague for a third of the price is leagues ahead of this place. We can say that the staff were nice and the guy who owns is a top bloke, sorry! The location wasn't too great, the rooms are a poor standard with plugs that are in a state, mattress has... More

The only good thing about this hostel was the cafe which was next door. Great cheap breakfast!! The Kitchen was unclean and did not want to use as it was in such a bad state. Not great location and area was dodgy, saw someone get arrested outside out hostel. Beds were ok but in a 10 bed mixed dorm which... More

Bed bugs in the room... I got terribly bitten. Besides, room and beds smell very bad... Staff is friendly but bed bugs made my stay a nightmare, also afterwards due to the need of washing everything in 60 C and quarataining all my stuff...

stayed in a dorm room, though most of the time I was out exploring the city. Seemed nice and clean, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The hostel has its own bar/coffee place that is very good for meeting people all around the world and having your morning coffee for example. Will come back for sure :)

This hostel is great for sleep-cheap, we stayed in an 8-person dorm, but it did have some inconveniences but most you are able to overcome. 1, they charge extra for sheets, but if you say you have your own they just let it go. 2, they don't have wifi in rooms and only at the bar, but as long as... Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighborhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
