As you do not pass the reception on your way to your room, you can be very private while staying in Berlin at this "hotel". I did not choose to have the breakfast, so I meet the reception only while checking in and checking out. Normally check out at 10:00 a.m. and with 20 euros I got it moved to... More

We have booked a triple room, but because of a mistake at the hotel the room wasn't available anymore. They didn't contact us and when we arrived we have been told that it was a pity for us and that we had to leave. The lady at the reception was terrible. She was yelling at us and wasn't even trying... More

This is in regards to the stay at this hotel from the 15th to 19th October 2015 at Room No 205 Below mentioned are some of the most dreadful experiences that I wish to recount 1. The Lady at the Reception is not worthy of being called a receptionist, She needs an advance course in hospitality and etiquette. Everything that... More

My requirement of closeness to public transport (S Bahn and U Metro) was met. Both were between 5 to 10 min walk. The hotel reception was located on the 7th floor and there was no lift! (A lift is being installed when I stayed there 8-11 Jly 2015). So the hassle of carrying the [heavy] (overseas) luggage bags up the... More

I stayed there 4 days. My room was on 5th floor. The elevator was out of service during my whole time. Wifi was good only 2 days and was extremly slow. Also did not work: 2 lamps, 2 sockets and shower head unstucked. The toilet was not perfectly clean when I arrived. You can not have breakfeast in the hotel.... More

That was a first time when nobody let us into the hotel. Reception works till 11 p.m., we were trying to call to the hotel about 10 p.m. to inform that we are late because of the traffic. Nobody picked up the phone. When we arrived the hotel was closed and nobody answered our phone calls. In fact we (4... More

My non-smoking room smelt of smoke, was poorly lit and the heater barely worked. Worst of all my internet connection was absolutely unreliable preventing me from getting my job done. My inability to work prompted me to try to relocate to a different hotel. I was told that I would receive a refund for the nights that I didn't stay... More

I was supposed to have 3 nights in this place, but due to a delayed flight after calling the hotel to said that I'll arrive a little bit late, they don't wait for me... no customer service, hotel looks horrible in the 6th floor of a building, in a small dark street with a beautiful sex shop at the doorstep.... First of all, the hotel was far from main tourism attractions. There was no cafe or restaurants when you step out of the hotel but very noisy as it is along the big street. The hotel was above a big erotic shop. The terrible experience was total unwillingness of staff to fix any problems. Their answers were " no idea".... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
