I was unlucky enough to stay near a loud noisy group of Irish students. They were extremely loud during the night and someone accidentally reported my room for making the noise. The manager came in and said we had 15 minutes to get out of his 'hotel'. Also apparently the police were called however we were allowed to stay. Also... More

The hostel is good, clean enough. The breakfast provided is ok. The location, i think, is pretty good. It is no more than 15 minutes from everything you would like to see, thanks to the U line. The first time I went to Berlin I got a better deal, by the way I think this place has to be considered

This hostel was very clean, and very much enjoyed my stay at this hotel last year, it was brilliant for a college trip which i went on. If i would go to Berlin again, i would defiantly stay here. The morning breakfast was continental l which was really good

This hostel is well located, close to the U-Bahn station (3 to 5 mins), not very far away from the city's main attractions. There are also many cafes and restaurants nearby. If you can walk for some 10 minutes you'll can even find a supermarket. The room is clean, with comfortable bed and pillows and a neat WC and shower... More

This Hotel is a fantastic budget place to stay if your planning on visiting Berlin. It's 5 minutes walk to the U barn. 24 hour reception, with very helpful staff. Rooms are clean and bright whether it's a single or family room. Free coffee and tea for residents and other great facilities are available. All this for a budget price.... More

Slept really well in our private/en-suite room. Not much noise as most 'youths' were at school (apart from in the courtyard at times from a few school trips). Great continental style breakfast hall with fresh salads too and the WIFI in the public areas works really well. The location is fine as it's next to two stations with variable options... More

For such a price - it is pretty nice variant. Tasty breakfasts, good location (between two U-Bahn stations). Staff was really kind and helpful. Sometimes in the morning it was pretty noisy because of the great amount of students, but thats not a big disadvantage.

The hotel is very well located, near 2 U-Bahn stations in a nice area. The staff here are very friendly, helpful and nothing seemed too much trouble. As a couple we had plenty of space in a 6 bed room (2 bunk beds, and 2 single beds). Unsurprisingly for a hostel, the rooms were basic but clean. We were told... More

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighborhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighborhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and 60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and 90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighborhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
