We were really pleased with our choice of Berlin hotel. It had a relaxing, peaceful feel with good quality decor. The breakfast was fresh and varied and beautifully laid out. Freshly baked rolls and croissants were delicious. The location was good if you are happy to walk 10 minutes to potsdamer platz. Great to have fast free wifi in the... More

I had a basic room, but confirm before you go that the bed is a DOUBLE bed and not a single - that's if you don't mind what kind of bed you sleep on. When I made the booking, I requested a double bed, but they gave me a room with two single beds. I insisted on a double bed... More

Booked a weekend in Berlin at this hotel, well situated and easy walking distance of all the major sites, helpful staff, clean well sized rooms... Kettle in the room would be a bonus but that's our only complaint. Breakfast is expensive unless you really want to take advantage of the all you can eat... However it is delicious and there... We visited the Fjord Hotel with a group of friends and shared a four person room. The hotel was lovely and had a modern scandinavian look with white and neutral colours. Our room was very clean and quiet. The breakfast was not included in the hotel price and was a bit expensive (12 euros/morning) but totally worth it! I have... More

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Fjord Hotel Berlin. Due to budget constraints I was unable to stay at the hotel where the conference I was attending was being held. What a stroke of luck, because I ended up staying at this friendly, efficient hotel. I was slightly nervous on this trip, as I don't usually travel on my own, and... More

Nice clean place for around 90 euros/night. Not to many amenities but clean I KEA like furnishings and quiet surroundings. Close to trains and within 30 minute walk of many Berlin sites. Parking on site for additional 10 euros/day with in/out ability. Bike rentals available on site for 10 euros/day. Good value.

Rooms not too big, but beds are quite comfy, and the small desk suited me just fine for the computer work I had to do. Shower's good. Overall you have the sense of a good and clean room. Breakfast food offer is also very good and tasty. Tiergarten - not the most interesting part of Berlin, but U-bahn is some... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
