Location is good, it's only 10 minutes far away by walk to Postdamer Platz, and there is a subway entrance 1 minute far, it is also very easy to get to the hostel from the airport. Breakfast is a bit expensive, even if it's free buffet and very complete. Rooms are big and clean, about the beds, I've been travelling... More

Great, cheap, quiet and very clean hostel. We slept at 8 beds room. Great localization, 50meters from Anhalter Banhof, 10 minutes by walk from Potsdamer Platz and Chekpoint Charlie. Very good breakfast. "-" for Wifi, weak signal. Nearly is discount Lidl and small shop open to 03/04 a.m.

Super location, great staff, easy access, and right in the middle of one of the vibrant cities of the world! Communication with staff was timely and concise. One hiccup is that you don't find out about the cost of sheets and towel until after you sign the dotted line....it should be bold or included in the basic price!

The hostel is huge. The rooms were big and the beds were really comfortable. In the room there was also a small table good for chatting with your room mates. Toilets and showers were clean and in enough quantity for every one. The kitchen had everything I needed and it was always clean as well. In addition, is just beside... More

Nice place but there are better ones near by. My girlfriend booked online and I should have know just by the name....or maybe it is me...too old for the backpacker thing. Otherwise clean, efective and well located

Three little pigs was great for us. The rooms were comfortable and the place was clean and great value for money. Not the easiest place to socialise considering it is so big and the common room looks more like a great hall than a place to make friends. It was in a good location with a grocery store and yummy... Wasn't expecting a lot for such a cheap price but got a great room (3 of us with 2 sets of bunk beds) with a sink, bathroom round the corner which we never had to queue for and cleaners seemed to be there round the clock. We even had a balcony! Good location for historical/museum stuff, less so for night... More

I prefer characterful hostels were you can easily meet people and socialise which is why I wasn't really a fan of this one. It was full of large groups (school children, students and construction workers) who kept themselves to themselves, I didn't see many other solo travellers. The corridors felt a bit sterile to me too but they were certainly... More

Its quite a big hostel. Rooms are quite like a maze and tends to confuse the guests. Thanks to the clear labels posted in virtually every part of the building to keep guests oriented and in the right direction. Rooms are clean. Staff are courteous and helpful all the time. Good job to KRIS in reception for always being helpful... More

After checking into Three Little Pigs, we were quite surprised to see how nice and friendly the hotel and it's staff were. However, as we began to unpack our belongings, we saw small black spawns of Satan juxtaposed alongside period blood sprinkled upon our bed sheets. This horrifying sight was complemented by a faint shriek from downstairs. I decided to... More

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighborhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighborhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and 60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and 90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighborhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
