This hotel was ideally located for my girlfriend and I during our stay in Berlin during the summer. It was clean and the staff were all good. We didn't have the breakfast so I can't really comment. The price we paid was a bargain for what we got. I see some bad reviews but just understand it is not the... More

We returned here after the positive experience in a previous visit last year. Again we booked a "privilege" room as it has a coffee machine and some other goodies. When we entered the room, however, we did not find the morning coat and slippers which are normally part of the deal. We called Jacqueline, the pretty receptionist, and when we... More

What an underwhelming experience...Upon arrival with lots of luggage, and expressly asking for help, I was simply told how full the hotel was and how little space there would be to store my luggage until I got my room. I had to carry all the bags to the reception myself...and then even tag them myself (!). I don't consider this... More

This was part of a trip someone else paid for, so this would not have been my first choice. The pros-lots of shopping nearby, close to the Subway and restaurants. The cons- the furniture was dated, they do not provide washcloths, there was a club next door so street side rooms were noisy at night. I like the main brand... More

I booked the hotel through Hotwire and when this hotel popped up as the result, I have to say I felt a bit disappointed, I had requested a four star hotel and this didn't look like a four star hotel from the pictures or description. However, I had the hotel and there was nothing I could do about it. So,... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
