Only stayed one night. Very good location, very central. Also easily to reach by bus from Airport Tegel (bus 109). Room was very comfortable, good bed, you can open window, spacious for one person, nice bathroom, coffee and tea facilities in room. Breakfast was also very good, lot of choice, nice breakfast room. Had only some problems with the internet... More

I do not recommend this stay because hotel staff smoke (and do who knows what else) in your (windows closed) room while you are out of it and even before you enter the room for the first time (I had to wait till the late afternoon). When you complaint, they do not want to hear to change the room to... More

This hotel is really centrally located near Kurfürstendamm, the main shopping street, and the s Bahn station just 5 min walk away. It was fairly cheap to stay here, but we understand why. The hotel is old and it smells not good in the hallway, in the room and bathroom. The breakfast costing 12 eur pr person and it did... More

I had an executive room, it was really large comfortable and quiet, hotel decor could be described as a " little camp" unusual for a hotel chain, the room was very comfortable and the bathroom had a bath. Nice continental breakfast and availability of gluten free bread.

Central and nice place for vacation i Berlin. Good breakfast. Room standard somewhere between good/average. Some rooms show a little "wear". Air condition in our room were poor. Tried to get som cold air in but got only hot air. Had to turn it off and open windows instead. Quite some noise from the street outside, especially early in the... More

I stayed for two nights in this hotel which felt a bit outdated. The location is good and there is actually a bus from the airport stopping very close to the hotel. I booked a superior room with a double bed, and got a spacious room on the fourth floor with a narrow twin bed. I was first told there... More

We stayed at the Mercure Hotel Chateau Berlin for five nights in a quad room (a party of four). The hotel is located 50 meter from Kudam st. The room was big and clean , with WiFi and air conditioning. The service was good and breakfast is excellent . Bottom line- great hotel !!!

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
