Rooms are clean and huge, even by American standards. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Parking is a reasonable 15 Euros. The hotel's single elevator is an antique from 1966. Wi-Fi is free but abysmal--slow, drops connection frequently, difficult to connect. Location is very convenient for public transportation, shopping, restaurants, bars, etc.. Would have given 5 stars if the... More

The hotel is in a fantastic location. It is very central to all the essential services. The staff at reception are very obliging with tourist information. They will help you with bookings and any other information to make your days enjoyable. Rooms are comfortable and well laid out We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it to others.

This hotel is walks away from all shopping and right next to a supermarket- so location wise, it's a great choice. The lobby of the hotel is simple, as are the rooms. Since most of the day is spent outside and seeing the sites, this is a good choice for a budget hotel. The staff are very helpful and friendly.... More

The thing I had to keep in my mind when writing this review was the cost of this hotel, which we booked as part of a package off BA.com. Bearing in mind it was very cheap, and is only a stones throw from the K'dam, Berlin's Oxford street, it would be churlish to give it anything other than five stars.... More

In the last 2 months, I've previously stayed a couple of times at the Mercure on Luckenwalderstr. (a little closer to the city) and loved it. However, this one - which is a more recent addition to the Accor chain - isn't quite of the same standard, in my opinion, and certainly not worthy of 4 stars. Don't get me... More

We stayed at this hotel for 4 days. The staff were amazing. They helped us with our travel and visiting throughout our stay. Nothing was a problem. We had a delightful room with a beautiful balcony overlooking the city. It is in a good central spot for the u-barn and other transport, hosting a delightful bakery next door. We would... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
