The hotel has two kinds of rooms, apartments facing the garden and some facing the street. We we're able to get a beautiful first floor apartment, the room was decorated in a old romantic fashion, and the room quality was pleasant, only problems was the lack of air conditioning. The inner garden was beautiful and the breakfast was one of... More

Dear Haroski, Thank you very much for your positive feedback. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay in the HONIGMOND GARDEN Hotel in Berlin. It is a very old and under heritage property so we cannot provide air conditioning. We can offer our guests a fan in the room, but fortunately a lot of rooms are cool because... More

Arrived late March and I think was the only guest in the entire hotel. Was put in a guest cabin in the courtyard, which was superb for quiet and protection from wind and street noise. Breakfast was excellent, and is served in an attached lower dining room with lots of windows to the garden. Definitely take a cabin room. Don't... More

Dear Mark, thanks for staying in our HONIGMOND GARDEN Hotel in Berlin und your lovely feedback. We are really sorry for the municipally construction in front of the hotel. But after the construction is finished in the end of August 2015 to the Berlin main station. Our guest will reach us within 5 minutes by Tram without any line changes.... More

Honigmond Garden Hotel is just two streets away from Honigmond Hotel. My wife and i were privileged to have spent many days in December 2014 in the first and just one day in the second. We noticed that Honigmond Garden indeed has a garden behind it. Though it was winter, some clients preferred the rooms around the garden so they... More

I rated this hotel around October 18th and you never showed the review! Had to walk up 6 flights of stairs and they would not change our room! We are 75- and 79 years old! We were paying the highest rate and there were no amenities.

Mitte is a central as you'll get if you are new to Berlin. Invalidenstraße is an avenue which leads directly to the central rail station, Berlin Hbf, like a spoke at 2 o'clock. Arguably you could arrive at the Hauptbanhof , and walk to this little hotel in less than 15min. It's also close to the Northbahn S-Bahn and the... More

This hotel was the perfect place for a reunion of 2 couples from Australia & the USA. Lots of eating, talking & laughing took place here-over a leisurely breakfast in the gorgeous garden, or a cold ale in the garden after a long day of sightseeing. Breakfasts were superb! The hotel is very stylishly furnished & arty, comfortable, & spotlessly... More

The hotel is located right next to Nordbahnhof, from which you can easily reach other parts of Berlin, its close to the main train station and within 15 min. walk, you are in Mitte. Its a nice old building, but the highlight is certainly the garden behind the house, a very special place in the city. I was unlucky and... More

That is my second time here. It is a very cute and small hotel where you can feel it was an old house from the structure. There is a very cute garden and the breakfast is very delicius. No so big but enough. The quality of food is good. The check out hour is at 11:00 what i found too... More

Throughout Germany - Frankfurt, Heidelberg, Cologne, and Berlin - this was, by far, the best place we stayed. Beautifully appointed rooms overlooking the garden, brimming with flowers and wonderful landscaping. Delicious breakfast buffet enjoyed in the garden. Friendly staff, convenient location to train. Definitely recommended and would gladly return.

This is a pretty hotel, in a convenient location. The staff were helpful and the breakfast was good. However, we booked a double room and got two single beds pushed together. It was winter and the room was freezing cold with no apparent way to heat it. My girlfriend and I tried to celebrate our arrival in Berlin but the... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
