This was my 4th visit to the hotel in 2 years and I really love the place. The staff is very friendly, the food, especially breakfast, was excellent again. I had a 'Soljanka', a soup with sliced sausages and meat, in the bar and it was delicious. The internet worked like a clockwork and easy to have access. 2 small... More

My wife and I booked 2 nights at this hotel. Was our first time in Berlin. Hotel was easy to find and close to the underground station Kochstraße though we found many of the sights for first time Berliners were within walking distance and didn't use the underground much. Check in at the hotel was quick and easy, as was... More

My husband and I stayed at the hotel along with my three brothers and their partners. The rooms although small were spotlessly clean along with the ensuite. Breakfast had a vast amount to pick from and hotel staff were friendly. It is right by checkpoint Charlie and also very near the tubes stations. I would say that if you are... More

This hotel is located close to checkpoint charlie, a bustling tourist area which is filled with cafes, take away and a few paid for attractions. You are close to the U-bahn. You are also walking distance from the main sights in Berlin. The hotel is clean and well presented. Despite a central location, not much noise can be heard, but there... More

For my first trip and stay in Berlin, I did not know what to expect. But all my fears about the hotel was gone within seconds after my arrival. The service at the front desk was good, the hotel lobby was clean and warm, it even got better when we opened the door to the room. A big, very clean,... More

A group of 6 of us stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. I wouldn't rate the hotel as 4* more 3* and these are my reasons 1. two of the rooms were reasonably sized. The 3rd room was tiny barely large enough for the beds and had a pokey little window 2. there are no in room coffee/tea making... More

i stayed here for one night recentlY for work. The room was small but perfectly clean and quiet which was just what I was looking for. Hot shower and warm room so all good there. The bar downstairs is modern and the beer tasted good! The staff were friendly and helpful. There is free wifi in the lobby / bar... More

We were interested in the recent history of Berlin so chose this hotel for its proximity to all things related to the Berlin Wall. The hotel is completely surrounded by museums and exhibitions related to the Wall, as well as a pick up point for the hop on-hop off bus. It is also very conveniently surrounded by cafes and restaurants.... More

I visited this place during last month´s ITB. I was well impressed with the very helpful staff, the quality of the beds as well as the breakfast on offer. The room size was good and the location seems perfect for both the business as well as the leisure visitors. Complimentary Wifi in the rooms complemented an outstanding stay.

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighborhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighborhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and 60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and 90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighborhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
