These apartments are really spacious rooms. Adequately furnished in a comfortable fashion but without armchairs. Bathroom very good. Kitchen quite well equipped and bed comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Whole unit very clean. Location very handy for the main attractions in the city and the U-Bahn station at Rosa Luxemburg Platz is only a 2 minute walk away but there... Very nice, wide yet cozy apartments. Friendly staff and great location (1-minute walking distance to the train station). It doesn't cover night reception so make sure you manage checkout logistics the evening before if you plan to leave at night. Recommended!

These apartments are comfortable, clean and equipped with a full kitchen. Breakfast is extra but you can cook your own once you have shopped. Free wean access and obliging hosts. Excellent office hours. Near U Bahn station just a stop away from Alexanderplatz. Very central with lots of nearby cafés. Beware of speedy bicyclists on a shared pavement.

Nice and wide studios, in a real charming environment. Furniture is simple but functional and warm. Very good location close to the underground. Breakfast is good and affordable and the staff is extremely friendly and polite.

We,ve came here for the half marathon Berlin. Got a 2 bedroom apartment. More than enough towels and a complete kitchen. What a great space, close at stadtmitte. An U-bahn station is close by. Even a parking space in a garage is possible. You'll have to make reservations for this.

We stayed as a family of 5 in a 2 - bed, 4th floor apartment in February. It's spacious, light, stylish with a balcony and a view of the TV tower (the tallest structure in Europe). We are a few minutes from Alexander Platz station from which to explore Berlin with ease. Outside we have a choice of many restaurants... More

I've stayed in these apartments twice in the last two months and have not been disappointed. Very affordable and able to cater for large groups, the apartments are clean, modern and well maintained. Fantastic location and within walking distance of Alexanderplatz, I would highly recommend these apartments.

We went to Schonhouse Apartments for the 4th or 5th time. We really still love it. Normally we rented the junior apartment, but we chose to go for the senior I this time and it was even better than the junior. They have an elevator, the room is big and clean. We loved it! Again! And for max. 4,50 Euro... More

My husband and I stayed at Schoenhouse with our two teenagers between Christmas and New Year’s. Our family was interested in an apartment hotel so we’d have a little extra space and wouldn’t have to eat out at restaurants for every meal. We also wanted to be within walking distance of shopping and restaurants. Schoenhouse fit our needs very well.... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
