We were as a family in July, it is 2 blocks to the U2 UBahn Station at Rosa-Luxemburg Platz, 1 block to Torstrasse where you can take the bus 142 to the Hbf and a Tram to the NordBahnof. Going to Alexanderplatz on foot is easy though, maybe 5 blocks? If you walk Schoenhouser Alle in the other direction you... More

The room is very nice and have a kitchen, also there is a supermarket cross the street (very big supermarket). The kitchen is well-equipment although we don't use it. The service is very good, but it is too busy for just one man. The only defect is that Wi-fi is not stable

The first experience my traveling companion and I had of the Schoenhouse Apartments was the private shuttle from the airport. Despite the fixed cost agreed beforehand, our charming driver was more than happy to offer a scenic route of Berlin and tour a couple of areas that we were unlikely to have time to visit on foot ourselves. It's this... More

The location is superb, superb, superb. Very close to efficient U-bahn lines, walking distance to Prenzlauer Berg, Alexander Platz, Hakescher Hof... During day or night, you will enjoy the neighbourhood. The rooms are spacious (the 2nd room might be smaller though), the linens and the towels are new and clean. We stayed at apartment 506, which is located on the... More

We stayed at this apartment for 3 night and had very smooth check in, friendly staff and a parking spot across the street. The apartment was spacious with all the necessary elements to make our stay pleasant but not luxurious. The apartment was quiet for most of the time except for 7am to 8am and 10pm to 11pm when the... The appartments are situated only minutes from Prenzlauer Berg and Alexander Platz, with plenty of food and shopping options in the area. The appartments are very large, the decor is modern but rather minimalistic. They come with a full kitchen, so ideal for longer stays as well. Most appartments face the backyard, and are very quiet. The staff is super... More

We booked the Studio II apartment as originally there was supposed to be 3 of us staying there. Two of us stayed for 3 days in the end and it was quite spacious. We had one double bed and the sofa pulled out to an additional double bed so could easily sleep a family of 4. It was quite central,... More

My family and I stayed here when we were visiting Berlin in May. Great customer service at front desk, staff was very friendly and helpful. Apartment was clean and spacious, great for our family of 4. Rewe grocery store was just a short walk down the street and Rosa Luxemburg Platz U Bahn station was just across the street. We... More

Apartment is tastefully decorated and in a very decent locality. A small restaurant is in the premise and serves the purpose. Beds and beddings were clean. Kitchen is just workable; not well equipped. Wifi works well. The only negatives were absence of lift and hot water was in short supply. Only one or at best 2 persons can take shower... More

Beautiful and modern apartment with lots of natural light, near Alexanderplatz. There's a sandpit downstairs and walking distance to s playground. Only thing that would have made our stay easier would have been a lift in the building. Would stay here again!

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
