We booked this hotel because it had nice pictures in the internet and we liked the location. The check in was not welcoming and unprofessional. First they walked us to a room which wasn't ready yet and then to another one. The room was ok, no daylight and not able to open a window which was allright. The service at... More

Charming hotel with a fabulous staff. We had one of those complicated trips and communicated with the hotel before our arrival. They were very responsive and accommodating, addressing every one of our unusual issues. The room was very nice and the bathroom was simply luxurious. The hotel offered internet and a full breakfast. We enjoyed the breakfast very much, the... More

Thank you so much for your lovely review, we're looking forward to welcoming you as our guest again. We're always available via phone if the reception is closed late evening, but it worked out perfectly with you. Please let us know about your luggage next time, we can help you carry it to the first floor :-) More

We stayed in room number 13 which is an apartment. Lovely large bedroom. Nice bathroom and large family room with good beds for the kids. The family room also includes a full kitchen. The only drawback is their WiFi did not work in our room and never got to it. Worked fine in the lobby. The breakfast is nothing to... More

Dear FamilienJ, thank you for your nice review of our hotel. We have worked on our Wifi and it should run again in the rooms without any problems. The breakfast has anything to start the day and we've worked on adding any time something special such as homemade, yummy cake. Maybe you can taste it the next time... Warmly welcome... More

This is a nice and friendly hotel in one of the cooler areas of Berlin - Prenzlauer Berg. If you want to explore this part of town it`s a good location, ten minute walk from Kollwitz St and Kastanienallee. I had a huge room and asked for a quiet one as I was working. It was. Service was great, the... More

We stayed in the Adele hotel and we're booked in the 'suite'. This turns out to be a refurbished shop around the corner of the actual hotel with the door opening directly in the street. At 6 am we were woken up by the noise of bins being filled in the back. At €438 I could have stayed in a... More

Small "boutique" hotel. We had one room for our two teenagers and one room for the parents, both of which were good-sized with beautiful wooden floors and stylish bathrooms. Also we thought the breakfast was good and the staff were nice. Unfortunately the kids' room fronted on a very busy and loud street, so they could not keep their windows... More

Although the location is a little stark, this is an interesting area in former East Berlin and closer to everywhere than you might think. The hotel is opposite a tram line which is a bonus not a disadvantage as access to everywhere is easy and it's a quick hop into the centre of Berlin. The staff were extremely helpful and... More

I stayed with my 2 teeagers in a 3 person room. A lot of space, nice design decoration, entrance to the room directly from the quiet side street (not through lobby). Excellent breakfast. Free wifi. Near to many nice neighbourhood restaurants but a bit far by foot from the main sightseeing areas.

We have two rooms, are ok, nicely decorated, not much storage space, small tv's. There is no lobby, free wifi, owner take care of everything. Breakfast included, ok. I would come back, it is a good deal overall.

We came to Berlin for the florence +machine concert and decided to make it girls weekend - the hotel is located in prenzlauerberg, a hip neighbourhood of berlin, but is located about 10-15 minutes walk form a u-bahn station. But it is a nice and peaceful neighborhood. And it's a nice place to explore and Berlin isn't that big so... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
