We had a great time here. The rooms are small but we were barely in them and they had everything you need - powerful showers, quiet room , comfortable beds (despite the nylon bedsheet), heating (only a fan as aircon for the summer though). The only downside was the blinds in my room didn't close properly and had come detached... more

This is highly recommended, a nice pension which really tries to offer its best. At first we didn't know where to check in - you have to go to the bar of the restaurant as there is not a pension reception as such. In fact the pension is really a huge flat in a mansion block which has been converted... more

We stayed for three nights in a double room in December. The good bits: Firstly, the location is great - in Zone A, right near the U-Bahn station which connects through town. We had no problems getting about and it was nice to be just a couple of minutes walk on the way home. Secondly, the room was pleasantly large... more

booked this on a budget. standard double room. it was good for the money. it was small, but Berlin is no place to stay in your room, is it? there's a backyard, a little unkempt, but hey... it's located in Prenzlauer Berg, close to transport, and in walking distance of lots. good sushi down the street w/ really pleasant owners.... more

I recently stayed at this hotel with my girlfriend. it was just what we were looking for. Clean, decent rooms equipped with flatscreen tv's and double beds. The space was average for European standards. Our only minor problems were that the sound quality of the TV made it difficult to watch and there was no alarm clock. (should have known... more

We stayed here for 3 nights in February. Our room was a economy double, it was great! It had a huge TV and came with chocolates and wine. The staff seemed friendly but the reception is part of the restaurant, so they weren't too helpful with information on tours etc. But its in a good location, lots of cheap places... more

We stayed here for one week in August 2006. We arrived quite late in the evening from Australia and were a little disoriented. We worked out that we needed to enter the bar to the left of the guesthouse and speak to the barman about our booking. He told us that we needed to wait for 15 minutes for some... more

This was a decent place to stay for the money. To get to the rooms you have to walk through a corridor (of an apartment house?), through a courtyard and then through another corridor. I stayed in the VERY SMALL single room on the first floor right off of the courtyard. The room was very clean and surprisingly quiet. The... more

I recently stayed here during an intense heatwave. Although the rooms are not air conditioned, they stayed cool, in part because the windows faced the central courtyard, in part because there was an overhead fan. Because of the way I made the reservation (I extended the amount of time I stayed in the city), I needed to change rooms halfway... more

Apartment Guesthouse Berlin is located about two blocks from the Schonhauser Allee U-Bahn station in Prenzlauer Berg (NE of the center). The room was clean, and the fact that we had to unlock four doors on the way in every time certainly made us feel secure. This part of East Berlin is all Soviet-era block buildings, so don't choose this... more
