A very nice place, welcoming and helpful staff. The bedroom was small and very basic but also clean. There was a sick in it with a small mirror, and the bed were OK to sleep in. Amstel was my first hostel experience, and it was great we only needed somewhere to sleep so perfect for that. It's clean tidy, friendly everything you need in a hostel and was very cheap! Hostel with friendly service. Also had very cheap laundry service trough the reception. Rooms are simple and very "prison like" but it was silent and the mattress was comfortable. Common areas were quite clean, but couple of toilets were out of order in my floor and the one wasn't so clean.
