For our last 4 days in Germany, in Berlin, we had a big, airy, clean 2 bedroom apartment in Apartments im Brandenburger Tor, in 1b, next to the Infopoint. Out of our windows we overlooked the Holocaust Memorial, and the view was spectacular at several stages of our 4 day stay; an attempted protest at the US Embassy, quickly stopped... More

Enjoyed the space and well equipped apartment and the experience of staying in an old GDR building. Only thing missing was a microwave and the wifi would not work for my iPhone or iPad although my daughter was able to log onto it with her old iPhone 4 and large iPad. The apartment is very central and there is a... More

We booked three nights in these apartments at a total cost of €342. Located in Mitte on Behrenstrasse these are former communist era apartments that have been refurbished and are now let out as holiday accommodation. These are quite spacious apartments and have been refurbished to a good standard, we took a two bedroom apartment and in total we had... More

The apartments are scattered over a number of Communist-era apartment buildings very close to the Brandenburg Gate and the Holocaust Memorial. Ours was in Wilhelmstrasse, not in Behrenstrasse where the office is. It was a nondescript one-bedroom apartment with some furniture. A dark passage connects the rooms and the airless bathroom. No welcome pack for travellers, not even a tea... More

Renting this apartment was the best thing we did whilst in Berlin. As there was 3 of us, we didn't want to have to pay single supplement for one of us in a hotel, so this was our next option, and it turned out to be great. The apartment was central to all Berlin has to offer, just around the... More

Although we enjoyed our stay in Berlin our choice of accommodation sort of let down the overall experience. It wasn't terrible or anything like that, but it just wasn't what we are used to nor what we were expecting given the lovely photos they use on their brochures and booking websites. It's actually former soviet communist era urban apartments, converted... More

So our trip was 8 blokes that needed somewhere to sleep, scrub themselves off and maybe eat a sandwich whilst watching one of 20 German TV channels that all contained heavily moustachioued men talking about curried sausage. In that sense this was perfect. We stayed for two nights/three days and things got quite electric once we decided that the big... More

Not being a hotel suited my wife and I down to the ground and the location could not have been better. You could actually see quite a few of the historical sites from our apartment which was on the 7th floor. The Girls at the reception were very friendly and helpful as were most of the German people we met.... More

We staid in a 3 bedroom apartment as a group of five, including two couples. These apartments are converted Communist era flats located in a number of blocks off Wilhelmstrasse, recently refurbished with sparse but adequate Ikea furnishings. Good points. Fantastic location, with key city centre sites within walking distance. Spacious living room and bedrooms. Light with good views. Well... More
