Everything is as seen from pictures. Nice place to stay. Really close to city center! :) BUT they didnt have their own parking as promised, parking was on public street, where getting a place is a luck. If You have car - think twice.

Lovely little hotel in a great location. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Excellent value. Close to all the attractions, stations and shops / cafes but down a quiet street. Would recommend for a mini break in Berlin.

It took a few days to find the right person to talk to. Looks like this place isn't supervised at all times, but only when guests are expected, so expect questions on your arrival time and issues if you don't show up when you said you will. Quite merciless policies.

Stayed here in November. The staff were helpful, and it was cleaned very well. The hotel was located not too far away from the city and it was close to a few train stations, which is only a short trip into the centre. There was quite a few restaurants that are only a short walk away from the Hotel. The... More

Down a little street but the parking was free if you asked for the badge from the hotel to put in your car, so that was good, saved money! The staff were nice and helped us with the map so we knew where everything was. The room was fine, it was what we paid for! The beds were very hard... More

This is small family hotel and its location is great, in Mitte. Very short walk to the nearest U and S stops. You can walk to a lot of points of interest from the hotel too and there are plenty of bars and restaurants (reasonably priced) nearby too.

Location is very good in Mitte - transport very handy to all areas and walking to main sites is within reach. The room was spacious and a fan was available (no air con). Breakfast was worth the extra 6 Euros - reasonable selection of cereals, pastries/bread, cheeses and cold meats, boiled eggs and sometimes warmed sav's. Lovely, welcoming and helpful... More

We was looking for the cheap hostel with double room when we were in Berlin. After several failurs due to lack of rooms in different hostels we decided to go to Novalis Hotel. We were not sure what will be the difference between price of hotel and hostel but don't be afraid price is the same. We had room with... More

Friendly staff, easy check in. Room is spacious, clean and had thoughtful touch such as bottles of water, glasses and small chocolate eggs and sweets in a bowl. Room was at the back and was quiet. Reasonably priced for where you are. Reception is on the ground floor and hotel on rooms on the second. It is part of a... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
