We had a 84sqm appartment in Schönhauser Allee 5. The appartment was spacious and clean. It had two bedroom, living room, a kitchen and bathroom. This appartment is good for families and a group of friends or couples. The location is great. It is near Aleksanderplatz, which has good shopping facilities. In addition, there are several delicious restaurants with reasonable... More

I’m giving it the lowest possible rating fairly or otherwise. I booked it specifically because in the photos it showed a shower. The apartment we were given had only a bath. As it was for a group I was embarrassed. When I called the Old Town Apartments company I was told ‘it must be broken’ and I said well no... More

We stayed at this apartment for four nights. Although it is located in a nice neighbourhood it is flanked by a "House of Horrors" Bar on one side and a Shisha Bar on the other side. The smell of the water pipes wafts through to your apartment whether you like it or not. Given its immediate neighbours, noisy nights are... More

Modern apartment Ideal for friends or family sharing with basic kitchen facilities. Our apartment was on the 4th floor but be aware there is no lift. Found fantastic restaurants and cafés locally and was perfect for exploring the city and environs.

This apartment is the perfect place to stay when visiting Berlin! Its close to attractions, shopping and great reastaurants. We stayed at schoenhauser alle 5 but check in was at meltzer str. 8 just 5 minutes away by walk, we asked People to get us there so it was really easy. We got our own kitchen so we had breakfast... Me, my fiance and is friend were Driving around Europe from England. Berlin was our second stop. To be honest there wasn't much we wanted to do in Berlin so we only stayed for one night. We got there quite late and the man actually waited for us which was nice & very friendly. Parking is limited? But we found... More

Stayed in the apartment for for a stag weekend. Apartment was basic 3 rooms , 3 beds to a room. Communal kitchen and bathroom between the 3 rooms. There was tea and coffee in the room. Also cutlery, pots and pans and an ironing hoard. Apartment is a 10 minute walk from the market square which has lots of bars... More

The apartment was spotlessly clean, wooden floors, modern furniture. Really quiet, it felt like we had the block to ourselves. The people that run the apartment have their offices downstairs and are really friendly and helpful and on hand for any questions, directions etc. I would definitely go back again.

in Sept 2013 My husband and I from Australia and my sister from UK (all seniors) stayed 6 nights in the 2 bedroom penthouse apartment at Metzer Strasser 8 . This was a clean , modern and spacious apartment in a good location. What made this a great place to stay was the wonderful staff. All our requests -small and... More

We had 3 adults and 5 children (7-16) in Berlin for a week. No difficulty finding the place as it is only about 100 yards from a U bahn station one way and 400 from the other. I missed the fact that you had to go to another building to pick up the keys but after that hiccup everything went... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
