The Schonhauser Allee finds itself in a great location in Berlin. With the tube station at your doorstep (U2) it is incredibly easy to move around in the city. Our apartment was located at the back of the building, through the front door you cross a courtyard to the back building, which made our stay a quiet one, unfortunately this... More

We were very happy with our apartment and delighted at the location, it was so handy for the underground, mauer markt, shops, cafes etc There were lots of hipster shops and cafes a short walk away. The apartment was very clean, had all the necessary items, and was warm and quiet. I will certainly stay here again when visiting Berlin.

3 friends 1 boy 2 girls book a 2 bed apartment in this hell hole!!! Absolutely shocking. We admitedly booked late check in. To which we were advised we must pay €20 for the inconvenience. The man kept us waiting 15 mins outside the front door whilst he made his way to the apartments from the bar. All 3 of... More

I read many reviews for different hotels in Berlin and this one stood out. I'm glad I noticed others mentioned picking the keys up at a different location, but it was also in the confirmation email I received. The location to pick the keys up was close to the apartments and easy to find. The office area has many different... More

We had a 84sqm appartment in Schönhauser Allee 5. The appartment was spacious and clean. It had two bedroom, living room, a kitchen and bathroom. This appartment is good for families and a group of friends or couples. The location is great. It is near Aleksanderplatz, which has good shopping facilities. In addition, there are several delicious restaurants with reasonable... More

I’m giving it the lowest possible rating fairly or otherwise. I booked it specifically because in the photos it showed a shower. The apartment we were given had only a bath. As it was for a group I was embarrassed. When I called the Old Town Apartments company I was told ‘it must be broken’ and I said well no... More

We stayed at this apartment for four nights. Although it is located in a nice neighbourhood it is flanked by a "House of Horrors" Bar on one side and a Shisha Bar on the other side. The smell of the water pipes wafts through to your apartment whether you like it or not. Given its immediate neighbours, noisy nights are... More

Modern apartment Ideal for friends or family sharing with basic kitchen facilities. Our apartment was on the 4th floor but be aware there is no lift. Found fantastic restaurants and cafés locally and was perfect for exploring the city and environs.

This apartment is the perfect place to stay when visiting Berlin! Its close to attractions, shopping and great reastaurants. We stayed at schoenhauser alle 5 but check in was at meltzer str. 8 just 5 minutes away by walk, we asked People to get us there so it was really easy. We got our own kitchen so we had breakfast... Me, my fiance and is friend were Driving around Europe from England. Berlin was our second stop. To be honest there wasn't much we wanted to do in Berlin so we only stayed for one night. We got there quite late and the man actually waited for us which was nice & very friendly. Parking is limited? But we found... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
