The apartment was amazing, it's in a great location near to Alexanderplatz and the facilities are perfect too - all we needed! The guys in the office at check in and out were lovely and really helpful and I was so impressed at them switching between several foreign languages to talk to guests. Would definitely recommend!

Just had a lovely weekend , The apartment was clean warm and décor is great.Stayed with friends, my husband and I slept on the bed sofa and as in previous reviews its not like sleeping in a luxury bed but for a weekend it is comfortable. The apartment is in good walking distance for attractions or via the tube which... More

Dear Abbid, Thank you for your stay and review. We profoundly apologise for the troubles you encountered regarding your check-in. We do make a great effort to obtain arrival times from our guests and try hard to prepare the apartments accordingly. Occasionally we don't get responses regarding these times, though, and thus prioritise with regard to given information. Moreover, we... More

I stayed at one of theses apartments with 5 other people for 5 days, the apartment was stunning and very grand. I was very impressed with the grand entrance and the sheer size of the apartment. We were in a great location in between two underground stations, and right in then heart of the city. There are plenty of places... More

I stayed here with my mother for 4 nights . On arrival, we were shocked at first when we entered the hallway , no one around and it was old and dirty looking . I rang the number I was given and waited 15 mins for his arrival. We were both tired at this stage but on entry to our... More

Just back from a lovely stay in the studio plus apartment with a large family group of seven. What we were looking for in Berlin was accommodation in a good, central location at a reasonable price where the seven of us wouldn't be too cramped, and we found all of this in Old Town Apartments. The apartment had two bedrooms... More

Stayed in early November 15 with 4 friends. Nice big clean apartment, friendly staff, easy check-in. The area is 2 stops from Alex platz so central Berlin is easily accessible. The area has lots of nice bars and restaurants. Highly recommended for groups. Scotch and sofa bar round the corner is a nice chill out bar. Cafe downstairs is friendly... More

Clean, spacious studio apartment. The apartment has a kitchen if you'd like to cook. Nice bathroom. Suitable size for 4 adults. Decent location within the centre of Berlin. Apartment is self service so you do not get a change of towels/bedding etc. Free Wi-Fi but it isn't very quick. We had a high floor apartment which meant lots of flights... More

A nice and large apartment, with lot of air (old building, with large distance from floor to ceiling). Our apartment, though clean and nice, could need some new paint or better wall cleaning. Placed on the 3rd floor, we got some excercise... Lots of traffic outside, but good windows stopped all noise. Short distance to Alexanderplatz and to lots of... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
