Good points: Superb location in a nice and quiet area, close to all the main attractions/places. The room was spacious, the bed very comfortable and the bath tub was nice and relaxing. What you see is what you get (photos compared with reality). Would definitely book a room again here the next time i'd go to berlin! Bad points: The... More

This is the place where I usually stay in Berlin - about 4 to 6 nights a month. Rooms are relatively big, the furniture has seen better times and sometimes it is a bit dusty... but the staff is always most helpful, the beds are a dream to sleep in and every room has a bathtub, which is quite rare... My boyfriend and myself spent 4 nights here in mid December. First of all i will start with the bad points: We were expecting a room with enough space to at least leave our suitcases lying down and still be able to move around the room with ease and not worrying about tripping over them if we needed to get... I spend 3 nights at the Quentin and for the price, it really can't be beat. The price of a standard double room was below 60 euros PER night. For that, you got a really spacious room with a lot of nice features, in the heart of Sberg. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The room was quiet and... More

Stayed for one night at this hotel having had to book a room late on Sunday. The hotel is very modern and the receptionist was very helpful. My room was large and with more amenities in the bathroom than is usual these downs. Downside - Wifi is pretty poor as has been noted and as my room was on first... More

Stayed here just for the night while showing a friend Berlin. The location was nice enough and convenient, but there were some shops in the area which made us feel out of place. That being said, my room was great and a real value. My friend's room had a problem in that the door wouldn't lock and the desk manager... More

We stayed for 4 nights in early january. The hotel is located in a quiet, not well-lit side street so we almost walked past it. The entrance to the hotel is very under-stated and it doesn't have the appearance of a hotel from the outside, more like a block of flats. Look out for the (not big), oval copper coloured... More

It's my hotel of choice - for the gay area it's perfect. And the pricing is generally excellent if you book in advance. Rooms are great, beds very comfy, the bathrooms generally good but the showers can be temperamental. Flood warning in certain rooms. Reception staff can be wonderful or a trifle cool. They need to work on this. And... More

We had a fantastic 3 day stay at The Quentin Design Hotel, Berlin in Jan 2015. The location was really central with a tube just a 5 minute walk away, the staff were very attentite but gave you peace and quiet. Our room was modern and very spacious. Breakfast was delicious also! There is a burger resturant across the road... More

The hotel is on a great location, in the middle of gay area, surrounded by bars, clubs and cafes. Clean, neat and comfortable. It has a safe box. I stayed on the 5th floor, which had only roof windows, so I recommend if you can choose, ask for some lower floors, because with a roof window you can't really see... More

Staying in Schoneberg

Neighborhood Profile
Schoneberg
In 1963, Schöneberg was the center of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the center of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
