We stayed for 4 nights in early january. The hotel is located in a quiet, not well-lit side street so we almost walked past it. The entrance to the hotel is very under-stated and it doesn't have the appearance of a hotel from the outside, more like a block of flats. Look out for the (not big), oval copper coloured... More

It's my hotel of choice - for the gay area it's perfect. And the pricing is generally excellent if you book in advance. Rooms are great, beds very comfy, the bathrooms generally good but the showers can be temperamental. Flood warning in certain rooms. Reception staff can be wonderful or a trifle cool. They need to work on this. And... More

We had a fantastic 3 day stay at The Quentin Design Hotel, Berlin in Jan 2015. The location was really central with a tube just a 5 minute walk away, the staff were very attentite but gave you peace and quiet. Our room was modern and very spacious. Breakfast was delicious also! There is a burger resturant across the road... More

The hotel is on a great location, in the middle of gay area, surrounded by bars, clubs and cafes. Clean, neat and comfortable. It has a safe box. I stayed on the 5th floor, which had only roof windows, so I recommend if you can choose, ask for some lower floors, because with a roof window you can't really see... More

A friend and I stayed here during the second week in December on a short holiday from Scotland. A first visit to Berlin for both of us so we played safe and chose one of the hotels offered by the tour operator. What a pleasant surprise was in store. The concierge staff were so friendly, the lovely girl couldn't be... More

Nice hotel we found online, room was small but fine, biggest issue was that it was very dark in the room. Breakfast had a small selection but only a small breakfast area so not much else they could do I suppose. Quiet street although some interesting shops nearby...! Great location for u-bahn. Overall good stay but couldn't stay for more... More

We were on a 3 day package in Berlin ,& because of this I think we were put in the cheapest rooms. The room we had was very small & dark, but the worst thing was the shower. Whenever one of us had a shower, the water flowed out under the door & soaked the bathroom. This must be an ongoing problem.but... More

Close to U Bahn, restaurants, good wifi. Noise level very high at night in the halls and badly constructed shower stalls. Shower always floods the bathroom floor. Front desk staff on weekend hadn't heard of the World renowned Perganmon Museum

My husband I travelled to the Quentin Hotel for a 2 night stay. We were somewhat apprehensive after reading some of the reviews but we were pleasantly surprised with our visit. We found it very difficult to find the hotel and not being familiar with the rail system added to this. We eventually got off at Potstamer Platz and got... More

Staying in Schoneberg

Neighborhood Profile
Schoneberg
In 1963, Schöneberg was the center of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the center of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
