This hotel provided the minimum in that it had a clean bed and location but did not go above that. The initial appeal of the building is a bit shocking as the carpet is dirty and there is a broken window on the staircase up to the hotel. However the hotel "lobby" and room were clean. The Internet was abysmal... More

Arrived after a late flight to be told that there was a penalty for this and was asked to pay an additional 25 euros before we could have our room. When we got there, we were astounded by the shower! It was actually in the bedroom! What was that about? Not happy. Especially as it was very hit and miss... More

We had a room with an ensuite. However the walls are definitely thin, no lift, nonexistent wifi and no extra anything. The plus is that it was conveniently located by the metro and a lot of restaurants, pubs, and shopping within a very short walk.

At the end of the day, Eden am Zoo is a satisfactory hotel, but not without a few certain perks and surprises. Located in the heart of Berlin, first impressions are, unfortunately, not great. The building is somewhat insecure, with a button-activated door providing little security, a feature which, for us, was a little unnerving. When progressing up the staircase,... More

We traveled here with our three children and found it to be a comfortable hotel with a nice breakfast. The hotel room was a bit tight with 5, but for the money we thought it was an excellent value. I speak German so the language was not an issue for us, but note that some of the staff speak little... More

We stayed 2 nights in a 5 ppl room. Eden am Zoo is located very close to U-Bahn and Kurfersterdamm. Lots of nice spots for eating or having a drink nearby. Staff very friendly and tries to make the best of your stay.

The Hotel Eden am Zoo in Berlin is more a guesthouse than a hotel. I spent 4 nights in room #16 a "standard single room". Well, the standard is not ***** and WiFi signals were very weak. Having read some of the reviews I did not expect very much with respect to comfort. So I was not disappointed. Service, cleanliness,... More

I stayed here for about 10 days on a trip with my fellow students, and man, was this hotel a let down! The only positive thing I have to say about it is that it's location is quite good, and the prices are alright. Everything feels old and flimsy. The window in our room (room 7) was cracked, and fixed... More

Not expecting to find ourselves in a luxury hotel with the price (100 euros/night,family room) have to say, that the room was very basic and outdated..I guess we are mostly paying about the fantastic location of this Pensionat - it is literally a stone throw away from all the action in K´damm street. I don´t mind the old feeling and... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
