This hotel is way past it's best. Booked online direct with the hotel. All fine and efficient. Arrived and was upgraded which was a nice surprise however generally the hotel room was dirty and dusty. The window did not shut properly which meant traffic notice all night. You have to ask for the room to be serviced which one day... More

Weird showers open, no door on and all glassy, toilet looks like closet, building looks a bit creepy especial if ur walking alone towards elevator, the only thing that made me rate with 3 stars is food, location that has everything close and costumer service that are really nice.

Pros: 1. Great location 2. Kitchenette is a nice addition with all the necessary amenities. 3. A good night's sleep - quiet location and a somewhat comfortable bed. Cons: 1. Irons and ironing boards not available in the room even on request. You would have to use a communal iron. 2. Overly expensive wifi, at 15 euros per day it's... More

On face value, this place looks great, the location is obviously handy for Berlin Mitte and it has a certain style. However, the guy at the front desk was not at all welcoming, once he got around to talking to me at all (he seemed to have some very urgent paperwork that was more important than a new guest). The... Just got back from a long weekend in Berlin celebrating my sister’s birthday. First impressions of the hotel were disappointing and it didn’t get much better throughout our stay. The man that was working on the front desk when we arrived Thursday 18/9 was very cold and unfriendly. His whole attitude made me and my sister feel like an inconvenience... More

At the end of the day, this fading hipster hellhole offers a reasonably good sleep. Beds are comfortable, rooms are relatively clean, and the rear rooms are quiet. If only there weren’t so many nuisances! - The rooms’ grey, pink and beige interiors are unappealing, if not downright hideous. - The rooms’ layouts makes little sense. There is a lot... More

Very very surprised and delighted that Lux 11 was such an oustanding hotel, full of design, fantasy and character. Great personal service and a perfect location for looking around a fantastic city. A big thank you from my family and me...keep it up!

When I travel, I like to stay in short-term rental apartments or apartment-hotels, so I don't have to take all my meals in restaurants and so I can do a bit of grocery shopping at the local markets and grocery stores. The Lux 11 offered a compact kitchenette that met our needs very well, with pots, pans, dishes, a stove... More

The location of this hotel is its best feature. WIFI was terrible, you had to get a new code at the reception each day... Sigh. The room was very warm, no airco. Bathroom was nice though, bed as well and you have a nice little kitchen which is pretty cool. Staff was not super friendly and dressed in sponsored Adidas.... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
