This was my first time staying at a Courtyard (I normally stay at an ordinary Marriott) and I was highly impressed. The bed was comfortable, the room was spacious and very clean. The location for me was the best thing as it was easy to walk into the city centre or jump on the Uban. I didn't have breakfast after... More

The room was very clean and the breakfast was excellent. The hotel is 1/2 a block from the subway. Very well located. Steps away of many attractions. I had 2 diners at the hotel.... the food was excellent. Reception desk was very kind and helpful.....

I spent several days here on a trip to Berlin and found the proper very well renewed or appearing new. The staff was courteous and appropriate. The location was less than 5 minutes walk to the underground station. The room was in very good condition as well was the bathroom, and the hallways were in like new condition. I had... More

The beds are very hard, the mattress is MAYBE 4-5 inches thick. This may be a Courtyard thing as the last one I stayed at had the same issue. I can handle it for a day or 2 but not 5. Rooms are clean and well appointed. Great location near the Underground and there is grocery store near by which... More

The hotel location is great, 15 minutes walk from Alexanderplatz, and just 3 stops by using the U. The hotel is clean, and the room is wonderful for couples. The wifi was for free(we are members at Marriott), the breakfast is not included and there is no room service(we had to go down to the restaurant to take are food).... More

We spent 7 nights at the Courtyard by Marriott Berlin City Center in June 2015. The hotel is actually located in the former East Berlin, and is a newer and modern building. While the room size was merely adequate, it was comfortable, well-equipped and the hotel offered basic but solid services. There is a restaurant in the lobby floor that... More

The hotel is quite good. Pretty close from the U-bahn (3 minutes on foot) The room was big enough. It was a quite room (I never heard a noise) There is a minibar (empty) and free WiFi at the lobby. Breakfast has variety but healthy food is needed and in the reaturant I only had salads, they were tasty. Staff... More

well, it is my second time here and I am glad I didn't review the first time, when I only stayed one night. Good things first: new hotel; very clean, spacious and light rooms, very friendly staff, very good location (depending what you need or where you need to be), on site parking; Now the flaws: - breakfast is not... We booked in a junior suite. Great room and excellent location, right around the corner from checkpoint Charlie. Only downside is that there is no door from the living room to the bedroom so if your traveling with others you might have a small privacy problem.

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
