Spacious rooms. Large double bed and a sofa bed to accommodate children, if you would like. Lacks a good restaurant but has a decent buffet breakfast. Parking is expensive as with most European hotels but street parking is available for a charge and covered day parking is within 1 km distance at much cheaper prices.

My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon and we had booked a superior double room online. When we arrived we were put into a room with two single beds; we didn't complain because we were only on Berlin for two days, but it was a bit sad. Contrary to what is posted here, there is no room service... More

No free wifi in rooms. Breakfast is an additional charge. Only free things on the TV in the rooms is CNN or BBC. Beds are not on par with those famous comfort Marriott beds in the US. The rooms are clean and have plenty of room. You do need conversion plugs for electrical outlets if from the USA. The location... More

Stayed there for a quick overnight, weekend sight seeing visit with the family. Did not have any real expectations but what a wonderful hotel this was. We found it basic but we did not expect five stars! It was a good sized room for the three of us, CLEAN,friendly staff, close to the sights, a very positive experience. My only... More

We stayed at this hotel and we're delighted with the property. We were actually able to take the subway from the airport here. The hotel is about 2blocks from the subway, very convenient. The breakfast was full from fruit to many meats and cheeses. The variety of bread and croissant was awesome. The staff was very accomadating for any requests.

The Courtyard by Marriott was a welcomed surprise after being in a very small room in London. The room was large with a king size bed. Staff were friendly. Room was cleaned each day. There is an option for breakfast each day. Wifi is available but you need to pay 10€. The hotel is within reasonable walking distance to Checkpoint... More

Great location, very convenient to u-bahn meaning very convenient to the entire city. Great breakfast too. I typically would stay in a more local place, but the deal using Marriott points was better than I could ignore. We lucked out and ended up being in Berlin for the light festival, which is not to be missed if you happen to... More

Good location, a little bit hard to reach from the airport, but since you arrive is easy to explore surroundings by step. Very close is a metro station Spittelmark in case that you want to use public transport. From Tegel airport (terminal C, my case) you just have to exit right and follow Info tourist sign, towards Terminal A, B... More

We stayed here 9 days the end of May and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. This is a clean, colorful choice for travelers that is not overly expensive. The rooms were not luxurious but were a good size and the beds were comfortable. The location was convenient and close to transportation or easy walking distance to Checkpoint... More

Nice Courtyard. This one is in a good location, you can walk to lots of stuff. Berlin is a city that is pretty spread out, but this location is kind of in the middle of most things. The hotel seems newer and the rooms were a decent size and clean.

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
