The hotel is just at the edge of the city centre attractions, handily located adjacent to an underground station. You can walk into the heart of the city in 10-15 minutes. Accommodation is good, great bed, really great bed. Breakfast is buffet style and is a wide selection. If you cannot be bothered going out for dinner the bar food... More

The staff at this Marriott are super. The restaurant has some interesting choices for food and the continental breakfast @10 euros was excellent. Rooms and well furnished and appear to have new or almost new furnishings. It is located just off SpittelMarkt u Bahn and about 900 meters from the Nikolai quarter where there are cozy old fashioned restaurants. Access... More

As I have to go to Berlin appr. once a month, I checked out quite many hotels. Finally, since 2012, the Courtyard Berlin City Center was and is my favorite. They have a young, motivated team. They remember most of the customers by name and preferences. They are friendly, helpful and supportive without using this typical "trained hotel style". The... More

The hotel is modern - but without soul, too steril. The rooms are clean and the space is appropriate. Very positive: The friendly personal. But the absolute NO-GO: You have to pay for WIFI and the breakfast (attention: expensive). I can not recommend it, sorry.

What else would you expect from a city centre Marriot Courtyard hotel? Really decent rooms, comfy bed, room was silent, good food and the staff were lovely. And we didn't pay a fortune. Was perfect not have to come back to a hostel.

I have stayed at the Courtyard Marriott in Berlin for a number of years. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the renovated rooms are beautiful and the restaurant has delicious food. This hotel is an excellent value for your money and I highly recommend this property.

Despite of the fact that the location of the hotel is ideal for visiting Berlin city, unfortunately this hotel didn't meet our expectations. The room had a smell of Indian curry, kept window open for the whole night. Parking is relatively expensive (21 Euro/night). No soap in the room.

I enjoyed my stay at the Marriott City Center Courtyard. I did have a little trouble finding it in the dark but that wasn't a huge problem. I was disappointed that the wifi was only available in the lobby....unless I wanted to pay 10E for it in my room, No thanks ! Good service overall and if I return to... More

The hotel is well located, not far from Postdam Platz but the rooms are not what you would expect from a four star hotel. I was given a huge room with three beds (even when I was traveling alone) no objections to this, but because it was that big it was quite cold, the bathroom was rather old, the mini... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
